Quote: RHINO-MARK "Absolute one out clueless dross they had their best prop best 7 & lost their 6 5 minutes in & won a lot easier than the scoreline suggests.
The England Knights would have made a better game if it at least they would have attacked.
Bennett has been a total waste of money players picked on reputation & too many played out of position.'"

Yes, sums it up.

Also good to see our refs are as $h!t as our players. Some of the worst officiating I've seen in decades. Utterly ridiculous policing of the tackle and PTB.

Lions Crash to Third Tour Loss as the Kiwis Dominate

The Lions Tour of Oceania was in danger of turning into a whitewash after last weekends 12-8 loss to New Zealand. This week the rugby league world turned its eyes to Christchurch for the second contest with the Kiwis, the Lions desperate for the win to regain some pride.

Great Britain lost the services of  Ryan Hall and Zak Hardaker with Blake Austin being selected on the wing by coach Bennett. Shaun Johnson was recalled for the Kiwi’s after being dropped for last weeks match and was certain to be looking to prove a point.

Conditions were oppressively hot at the OrangeTheory Stadium as the sides took the field for another bruising encounter.

Time for Bennett to pack up n go along with half of that squad n fetch in Daryl Powell it would take me too long to name names but I'm sure mm ost know who they are. Great Britain NB have gone NB backwards at an alarming rate

With so many injured, I'm surprised that the games were as close.
We had chances, but our pivots couldn't create, and I couldn't believe how little either halfback touched the ball in NZ's 20m.
Most of all though, we lack dynamism in the pack and pace and power mobility in the backs, I'm not sure how we rectify that going forward.

How a so called super coach can not see things not working, and make positive changes, I do not know. Surely Austin should have been moved to halfs in that second half?

Agree gotcha there would have been no harm in trying widdop is useless I can't see him being around for the 2021 world cup. On another note what about Williams and trueman in the halves next week

He's got it wrong from the selection onwards. Even as an informative exercise for England it's been a shambles. Does he intend to rotate the 3 remaining halves v PNG (a side who will be nowhere near the WC final? That's not going to tell you a lot, that said with the outside backs you can't fully learn from any halves combination. What a shame for the return of such a prestigious shirt.

Halves are useless. No kicking game and no organization. I'd also say that some of the basic skills are dreadful. So many passes took momentum out of the runner. The pass Graham dropped start of the second half from Hodgson was thrown with all the straightness of a delivery from Shane Warne. The guy can't throw a simple ball.
Not that any of that mattered, there's no point in trying to get on the front foot and win a collision when you can have 3 guys lie on top of you until they get the signal that the defence is all set. I thought I was watching American Football. GB could have gone into a huddle between each play the ball and called a play.
I guess my main gripe is not that GB were poor, it's that the game itself was completely boring to watch.

I'm not sure the game was boring. I think GB are boring. NZ looked good when they shifted it out wide. We look so one dimensional.

I think they've bought into the BS admit having the best pack and they can bully teams down the middle. This tour had proceed that's not the case

End of the day the GB/England playing squad just isn't good enough at the moment.

Too many older players past their peak, and not enough young talent in there - I bit similar to Leeds in some ways.

And like with Leeds we might be a few years away from seeing the new generation come through.

But at least we saw Leeds win something at their peak. GBL/England always flatter to deceive. A clear out needed for the World Cup. We might as well stick with English through and through and forget the Aussie imports. Has Hastings proved that he is simply a big fish in a little pond. Wigan supporters must be a little worried with Hastings' weak performances.

Well we're going to have to buck our ideas up a bit for next year or the Aussies will embarrass us on home soil.

There are problems right across the side now, and we're several world-class players short of being competitive with the top tier.

We're desperate for outside backs and more halves too.

The good news for Wigan and Warrington is that they won’t play Tonga or NZ each week, but they must be a little disappointed with their purchases.
