My thoughts exactly.

It would appear that a lot of people are acting like bullies regarding these alleged incidents by jumping on a bandwagon and saying what they think people would like to hear. TV reporters,celebrities and even police officers are viewing these ALLEGED incidents as actual incidents with no proof whatsoever in some cases. If something could have been conclusively proved it should have been done a long,long time ago. If anything did happen the only people that really know are Savile and the ALLEGED victims at this moment in time. Does anyone remember poor old Karen Mathews whose daughter had been "kidnapped" and that landlord down in Bristol that had "murdered" his lodger. I have my own thoughts on Savile, but neither you,I, or that silly bitch Esther Rantzen know exactly how much truth there is to many parts of this investigation. Sadly too many people may have stayed quiet for too long, others are coming forward with "evidence" based on hearsay.

If there is any amusement to be taken from any of this its from the ill-considered and ill-informed comments from the media and the general public...

"Strip him of his knighthood" is one, he's already been stripped of his knighthood by dying, you can't hold a knighthood after you die according to the Cabinet Office when they had to remind David Cameron of the fact yesterday after he'd suggested that they could consider removing it. Likewise his other medals and assorted government metalwork, they all die along with the recipient. The only statement so far from the Catholic church is that his Papal knighthood was not for his character but for his charity works, so they probably won't be rescinding theirs then.


"Get him out of the town and send him back to Leeds, we don't want him" so said some daft old bint in Scarborough when interviewed by Look North last night - its a dead, rotting body buried in the ground, its not a real person that you can hound out of your poxy little seaside town you silly old mare, he's dead, his body fluids are already seeping into the soil in a graveyard in your town, thats as much as you need to worry yourself over, now go and get some shopping done before your husband gets home and finds you haven't got his tea ready for him because you're too worried about what other secrets are buried in a graveyard in your town that you've probably never even visited.

If you've clicked the link above you'll see that the idiot with the Rolls is now complaining that the car is probably only worth half what he paid for it and he wants his money back - well yes you pillock, we all knew that anyway, thats why the auctioneer put an £80k valuation on it.

The problem with Scarborough (& Filey) is the people (generally). Such a high percentage of one-eyes, chavs and a-holes.

A night out in Scarborough is like something from Roadhouse.

Then there's the borough council who do their very best to go against public opinion and screw the locals over. The demise of the football club and the recent supermarket bid being just a couple of examples.

Nice place to visit (for a day) though.

I also have happy memories of Scarborough,and I love the town,but less than a year ago they were really making a big effort to claim Savile as their own Jimmy.great tourist attraction etc.All this scandal is disgusting,but we are seeing so much of now it reminds of a certain statement made about eleven years ago"its a good day to bury bad news"
