| Quote: G1 "If Senior gets punished in any way shape or form all the players should club together and all the players should refuse to speak to any member of the press, including Rhinos TV, in the immediate aftermath of games to give them an opportunity to calm down and take stock.
Mr Irvine of the times seems to share Seniors' sentiment.
Where am I?
I am glad we have players who are passionate about winning and have no issue with what Senior had to say. I think he was right as well btw. Should he have said it? Well, perhaps not but if we're going to allow journalists to interview players immediately after games then that is what you will get.'"
Funny how when DD and I posted that Super League was generally poor fare, viewing wise, last season because of the slowing down of the game, there were elements of the Leeds fans anxious to take that as an indication that Saints fans were bitter at the defeat in the GF
Now that Leeds have lost - under a return to the adaptation of the laws that were applied last season - the ref had a bad game.
Why am I not surprised.

If you genuinely thought that the speed of the play the ball on Sunday was similar to that of any SL season, you need to lay off the glue or stop watching games with your Sky+ slow motion on.

Probably because you are also confused and are trying to platt two different subjects into your very strange argument.
Poor viewing fare
-----------------
Different interpretation of rules for SL games & WCC game
Just to reiterate, I have not complained about the ref since sunday and IMO it was our inability to finish chances that cost us and nothing that silverwood did or didn't do.

Eddie, have you come down off the smack yet sunshine?
My post. the one you quoted, was about the issue of players talking to the media immediately after the match.
What does that have to do with the pathetic excuse making the fans of the "mighty S" have been making these last few years?
Anyway, as Andy Gilder has said, Sunday's game and the policing of the ruck bore no resemblance to any Super League game I have seen this year or last.

Just found out that Morgan was fined 4k with half suspended but no mention of Andersons punishment although i do remember Ian smith not reffing at KR for the rest of the season.

Silverwood's rule interpretations on Sunday night certainly looked very similar to the ones I had the misfortune of seeing last year.
This years comp has been noticeably better in that regard, and a major reason (IMO), why Leeds were bemused with the wrestle-a-thon on Sunday night. It was inconsistent with the opening rounds of this season.
Whereas DD and I were pretty straight as to our disatisfaction last year - monotony being just about the best word to describe the slugfests on offer - you were amongst the most bullish in your assertions that this wasnt the case. It was all fine and dandy in Sooper-dooper-league.
Leeds were out-bullied by Melbourne and sudddenly the game should administer greater attention to the play the ball according to some. Its laughable.
As I said, the only argument, and a pretty strong one to be fair, is that Silverwood applied a hell of a lot more tolerance to holding down than the opening rounds thus far.

20348.jpg Cuddle Club Rules
1. You dont talk about Cuddle club
2. YOU DO NOT TALK ABOUT CUDDLE CLUB!!!!

| As an FC fan I thought Silverwood was bordering on cheating in favour of the Storm. The amount of times he called "surrender" (therby giving the Storm the right to hold down for longer) when a Leeds player was tackled was ridiculous. He certainly didn't apply the same standards when the Storm players were being tackled. Still, you had the chances to win the game and unfortunately for you didn't take them which ultimately decided the result.
