Quote: Sal Paradise "He is not in the same league as Segeyaro - honest hard working player who looks better than he is because he is new, when the opposition work him out then let's see how good he is. Same applied to Cuthbertson he looked great year 1 now he just looks very average'"

He must've really worked hard whilst not training with Cronulla for the past few months then. icon_eek.gif

Jayden Brailey had his worst game in the surprise loss to St George at the weekend, no reason to think Segeyaro couldn't add something to the 17 - especially from the bench.

Whilst I am one of the people who thinks we should have just cut ties with Segeyaro and let him go straight away, I don't see how anyone can be anything other than pleased with Parcell.
His style was always going to work well in Super League - he's got good distribution, a very dangerous and quick scooter, seems to take the right options and is very sound defensively.
So whilst I might disagree with the stance taken on Segeyaro (and question the true reason why GH was 'playing hardball') GH should be praised for sourcing such an adequate replacement. I'd have Parcell down as one of, if not possibly the best 9 in SL.

I think this is premature when there are the likes of Roby, Clarke, Houghton & even Aiton in the frame for the best no 9.
In time maybe, he's made a promising start & is developing an excellent understanding with Cuthbertson but let's not get carried away just yet. One thing is for sure though he's better than Falloon.

That's why I said possibly - on current form I don't see any other 9 playing much better, so if he holds his form and continues to develop, then he's definitely there or thereabouts.

Obviously not but Chicko hasn't played or trained with anyone in 6 months (so he and Cronulla claim) meaning he's going to struggle for a while.
Based on current form then... Parcell is much better. icon_thumb.gif

On another similar note, is Cuthbertson really bang average now? icon_ask.gif

Still early days but considering we looked up S**t creek without a paddle at Christmas regards the hooking role Parcell is about as good as we could have ever hoped for with such little time available and players for that matter.

Cuthbertson has been one of the best props in the league so far. Gained massive metres every game, made plenty of tackles and he's rediscovered how to offload. Everything we do at the moment is coming off the back of his and Parcell's work.

It all about opinions - you have yours which I think is nonsense and I have mine which you think is nonsense

He has looked Ok in the last two games against pretty abysmal opposition other than that he still looks a pale shadow of the player he was in 2015 - in my opinion.

Let's see how the next few games pan out when Leeds start to play sides that most have predicted to end up in the top 8

Fwiw imo Cuthberson Parcell Keinhorst & Golding have been our best players thus far by plenty.

Totally agree with those in bold

As for Golding, his defence (previously thought to be his weakness) has been a revelation - albeit not to Hardaker's standard.
But wrt him as an attacking threat, I can hardly think of one instance this season where he has looked threatening to the opposition's line. And his bringing the ball back from kicks is (IMO) nothing short of woeful - lateral running until thumped, in the process losing many potential metres for the team; not diving to the floor when near our own goal line so that he doesn't get pushed back in-goal (& don't tell me that would be a voluntary tackle - there hasn't been one of those in many years).

Please don't assume that I have an anti-Golding stance - I desperately want the lad to succeed, but there are many things to improve in his game & he needs to show that he is learning. As I said his goal-line defence has been awesome, so I hope he can fix up the other things (his goal kicking was rather good the other night also!)

his attack as not really fired so far this season, but he often busts the takle taking the ball back, and often looks threatening, but to say his attack and ball returning has been woefull is simply not true.
