just seen mcshane training with under 20s at kirkstall when driving past training pitches on way home, punishment for something that has happened? or getting ready for game with 20s as he is out of the first team 19?

Considering he's not in the 19 for the first team it can hardly be described as punishment to train with the team he'll be playing for. |

No but it should show the player you believe to be first choice in that position, with the long serving numbered players like Kev Mags and Burrow. Of course thats not taking into account a player like Hood can breakout and claim the shirt next time they are handed out. See Clark at Castleford for instance.
For what its worth I think the selection of Hood may be tactical. Maybe Mac sees the same qualities in Hood as what he see's in Burrow at hooker at the minute. That way youve always got a potentail gamebreaker at acting half, while keeping Burrow fresh |
