| Never seen a Leeds side throw so much ball away. Was an entertaining game though, that.

| Great effort from lads tonight, thought officials were dreadful tonight Robert hicks should be know where near a super league game, hopefully get some bodies back next week and batter them in cup Huddersfield are a really poor side Imo they struggled against half of out team tonight and next week if some of big guns do come back I expect we will trounce them. MOT!!!!

| no faulting the effort here, and there were some good individual efforts to be fair. But Still no direction, leadership, organisation.all over in defence (good desperate efforts aside) and ruck still a mess. And obviously killing ourselves with penalties.
Apart from that, things are looking up

| I think there was enough in that to suggest that if any of our three key players - Hardaker, McGuire, Cuthbertson - were playing then we would have won quite comfortably. As it was the key play was two Dan Marino passes to break our right side defence.
Ball in hand we were ok until it got to Sutcliffe and then we weren't. Watkins is off form, but I'm not surprised.
Burrow continues his good form. Galloway and Garbutt were the best forwards on the field. Keinhorst excellent again and Lilley neat especially his short kicking game. Don't know who said Cam Smith wasn't physically ready for open age...he's f*cking massive.

Oh I can easily see us winning games. Add Hardaker, McGuire and Cuthbertson who are all likely to play next week and we win tonight.
What's annoying is that the effort we've shown tonight and against Hull and Saints in the last few weeks wasn't there when we played HKR, Wakey, Cas and Salford. Show that effort against those 4 teams and we'd have been 8 points better off.

| Just to add, with the field position we gave to Huddersfield tonight, a less out of form and desperate side with a structured attack would have put 50 on us with ease. Still a lot to fix up.

| First choice full-back and wingers, Leeds win that. So much of Huddersfield's field position came from our back three getting nowhere even close to kicks.
Nothing to play for now until the Middle 8s start - no chance of progressing on the Cup even if we do beat Huddersfield next week. Relax, rotate the squad a bit when we get some bodies back and start again in July.

What he looks like on the outside is only half the story, it's how a 17 year old is developed on the inside that's key.

Bizzare comment Andy. We would be in the quarters with lots of key players to return, despite our form this team can still beat anyone on their day.

| I wish we could just plonk ourselves in 8th position and press the ESC button on this season.
We are still getting marched down the field way too easily. It seemed like no matter how far down the field huddersfield started the set, they were always lining up on our 30/40m line by the last tackle with Brough prancing round, having a cup of tea, then taking measurements and calculating the perfect bomb. Lilley seems to be growing every week, he was taking control on the last and putting in some nice little kicks.
Since Hull kr performances have definitely gotten better, however I can only see losses continuing. Huddersfield next week, then is it cas warrington and wigan?

Even if we get bodies back, they're not going to be match fit because they've got no reserve grade to play in. So it'll be weeks before they get back into any kind of form. Even if Leeds scrape past a pretty mediocre Huddersfield next week, I've seen nothing this season which suggests they'd be able to beat a top side in the next round.
If you want to stick a fiver on Leeds winning the Challenge Cup go ahead. You may as well give it to charity though because you won't be seeing it back.
Season goes into hibernation now, starts again with the Middle 8s. Next ten weeks should be treated like an extended pre-season with the aim of hitting the ground running first week after the split.

| Argh well, the good thing to come out of this disaster of a season will be the likes of Handley, Lilley, Golding, Sutcliffe and maybe Smith getting plenty of game time. It's what lots of people have whinged about needs to happen on here for years and now it is in full swing. You can certainly see Lilley and Handley are growing in stature by the week right now.

Well i see it as a free shot at the cup and put all our eggs in that basket, its all we have and i'd wager the team see it that way too.Beat Huddersfield and then a favourable home draw in the quarters and you never know. Other than that i agree, season is a zzzzzzzzzz.... from here.
