Got to call it Hudds tried everything but came up short against a Leeds team still trying to find them selves both be up there challenging come end of season.

| Quote: Barrie’s Glass Eye "First twenty or so aside there were some good performances in there.
They’ve been much maligned, but I thought both Tet and Lisone were very good and their introduction marked the game starting to turn. McDonnell continues to impress and Johnson was tidy off the bench.
For me atm Bentley just isn’t pulling his weight, offers little with the ball and seems to be missing a lot of tackles.
As others have said need to back it up comfortably against Hull next week.
Oh and Conner dribbling the ball to touch only for his teammates to explain their behind on the scoreline then him to look confused at the scoreboard….priceless.'"
Get a grip Bentley and Cam were huge tackling wise if you didn't see that you don’t know f all!

| Watching it back, it was actually a good performance bar that opening 20 minutes - that needs sorting though!
Mcdonnell was an inspired signing! he's been excellent as has Nene!

| A tale of two halves again majority of 1st half we was poor, but 2nd half we played some entertaining & expansive rugby. James Mcdonnell was MOM he was very good I'm attack & defence for us, for me he seems to be in the Carl Ablett mold back rower a player who gets on with their job and pops up with important moments when you need them. Nene Macdonald hasn't had a bad game for us yet could be one of Signings of the season just hope he stays fit for majority of season. Rhyse Martin's try was brilliant to watch shifting the ball in our own 20 then Newman with World Class footwork & a break supported by Handley, Myler & Macdonald, then playing from right to left the next tackle for Martin to finish was great off the cuff & heads up rugby. We just need some consistency now we can't keep going as we are winning 1 week losing next, we have a very good team imo and if we do find some consistency we should be there or there abouts when silverware is being handed out.

| We'll continue to lose games we should win if we give away big starts. Smith acknowledged that post match, and now he needs to fix it.

| Strange game. We look so much better with Handley in and Olpherts out.
Liked our starting lineup but we still looked clunky. Overall I thought it looked a close contest between two mid-table sides.
Main impression for me was that I’m not blown away by our spine still; we have some good individual players but the links weren’t always great.
Lucky to win in the end but an important W and entertaining to watch once we got going.

| The starting pack really struggled to compete with Hudds, thought the game changed when Tetavano and Lisone came on, their energy seemed to energise the team and Hudds never really seemed in the game after that. Once we scored our first try I was confident we would win.
Agree re Bentley, his defence was his strong point but he seems to be falling off tackles a lot at the moment.
Cam Smith is completely different player to the start of last season, improving every week and an 80min player.
Kicking game was spot on this week, Credit to Austin’s and Sezer for that

Cam Smith was good and at no point there have I called him out.
Bentley missed plenty, and I’m not the only one that’s pointed that out…
Don’t really get your reaction

| The wally that did call Smith out as being championship standard once again being shown up. Go on put your hands up who was it?!
Also for the clamouring to move myler on he still continues to be one of our most consistent proving quality with his link passing again.

Spot on Chris - both very good signings.
McDonnell has literally made himself undroppable.
Be interesting when him, Bentley, Martin and Gannon are all fighting for 2 starting spots.
McDonnell definitely looks athletic enough to play in the centres.
And I think McDonald might be better on the wing - not sure if Fusitua gets back in when fit tbh.

| Haven't watched the game back yet, but I suspect we are going to have to get used to not charging out of the blocks like sprinters. Smith always mentions the energy battle" and our two men in the tackle style doesn't give us the early momentum against sides like Huddersfield, who commit three, sometimes four men, to the table. However as the game went on you could see them really dropping off and allowing us to play the fast pace stuff that allows us to post lots of points quickly. There's a balance to be struck I suppose, and key for us to avoid some of the criminal errors that have plagued the early part of the season.

‘Criminal errors’ flip you’d think we’d been playing like the Harlem Globetrotters for the past 5 years!

Mylers kick chase was spot on too. For all the talk of energy battles and styles or whatever he’s one who seems to really know when to inject himself.

| Managed to watch the game this morning. We are one hell of a side when we are playing fast and with momentum. Big Sam Lisone is an absolute wrecking ball off the bench. Huge advantage to have 2 halves who are great kickers too.
Austin can pretty much do it all. Thought his long kicking and passing was top draw…..
