Quote: chapylad "There saying on the Wakey board that Johnstone has been stood down for another 4 weeks.
It`s a pity there`s no crowd at HQ tomorrow as it would have been a nice gesture for the Leeds fans to shout his name as a bit of moral support for Tom.'"

With the awful circumstances surrounding our very own Stevie Ward and the abrupt, early ending of his career its awful to see the similarity's with Johnson who is to me anyway, pure box office.

I honestly pray that its nothing too serious and we see the youngster back on the pitch doing what he does best, and I'm sure everyone in the RL family is also.

One of the very few, perhaps only, "edge of your seat" players in the league. Fingers crossed he comes back strong.

Quote: fanstanningley "Only 17 no need to rushing his development.I'm sure over the nest couple of yeas we will see more and more of him.Him and Walters could be a mouthwatering second row partnership. Plus Edwards also to be in the mix.'"

Three fantastic prospects there. Not seen much of Gannon to be honest but immediately he looks right.

No idea where Edwards will end up playing but he'll be in the 17 over the next year or two.

Hope Broadbent has a good game, I'd love to see him develop this year and cement his place in the squad.

Sad about Johnstone, echo other comments - great talent.

Just so I am clear, we don’t know he is quality but you know that the he is quality ship has now sailed? Can’t have it both ways can you.

Bottom line he has not played much rugby for a year, he hasn’t played RL for a number of years, he has come back into a team struggling, no fixed half back with him and a spine being changed every game.

Give the lad a chance will you, let him play 5-10 games with Gale and some first choice strike outside him and then we can have a chat about if his ship has sailed or not.

Quote: doc-rhino "another bad value signing'"

Absolute crazy comment, bad value signing when he has played 2 games coming off not much rugby and no RL for a number of years?

Also I understood he had a massive reduction in salary at least this year because he has come back from RU.

As per my last comment everybody wants to knock him, why don’t we just let him play a few games with a settled side around him before we decide if he is a bad value signing or not.

Also, is he off the cap for first year and only half salary counts next year?
It’s a gamble but as you say we need to give him a chance.

100% correct.

People expecting him to be back to his best after 2 games in 10 years and not played any rugby in 2 years are just being ridiculous but our fanbase has plenty of ridiculousness in it.

We have more critics than suppprters.

Pragamist? You were advocating getting rid of all but a handful of players yesterday. That is not the voice of pragmatism.
