Certainly could be, by my reckoning, that puts him out until the final game of the normal rounds at least, thing with these injuries though is everyone is different, fingers crossed it's a quick recovery.

That'll be those 'Rugby Gods' striking us against Wigan again for Hardaker's past crimes.

Think Briscoe going from original timeframe (which he said was still on course a few weeks back) is still 4 weeks away.

Either Golding at FB or Watkins with either Keinhorst at centre or even Ablett for more experience of all our other 2nd rows options are available we have enough there in Ward, Delaney and Achurch.

Let's just hope we maintain too 4 at the very least.

Yeah when we played widness I'm pretty sure he said he had 6 weeks to go so 3-4 sounds about right.

I'd put Golding in against wakey, but given the short turn around to cas I'd rest him for that one, then evaluate how he does at wakey before selecting him for anymore.

Yeah I'd go for that plan with Golding.

That would finish our season, simple as. We have no cover anywhere close to him.

However, I think you might be a bit premature. Not saying it couldn't be the outcome, but he doesn't have the scan until today, and certainly his view is that it is not bad. Will be out Sunday though.

At times you played some of the most exhilarating rugby I've seen in a good while. But when it became a bit of a grind you seem unable to put together a structured attack that gives Watkins or Moon any space to run at the defence. A waste of the best centre talent in SL.

Credit has to go to Wigan for disrupting our game. But you'd think we would do a better job of getting it out wide, to what is reputed to be the best attacking back line in SL. I know some disagree, but I think our forwards were below par on Saturday and didn't generate the space to play it out wide.

Well he's quoted in today's YEP as saying he's rolled his ankle, it's in a boot at the moment but it's feeling better than it was straight after the game and he's not ruled out playing at Wakefield.

I hope I'm wrong but I'd say that's a case of trying not to give too much away for the time being.

This isn't me being premature, this is the man himself, He was in TGI's yesterday where he told someone this, he was then out last night having a few where he's said the same to someone else.

Just to be sure here, and again I am not saying that the final outcome couldn't be that. But you said originally, just had word. Now you are talking about he told someone in TGI's yesterday, which I don't want to sound funny, but I also saw that post on facebook yesterday, which kept changing as the night went on, from a protective boot to an actual pot. The original poster of it, it would seem, was actually posting their own opinion rather than fact.

IMO Leeds were never in control of this game and as JP said in his interview after the game, the problem was Leeds did not keep to the game plan which was why McDermott looked so frustrated.

Our forwards failed to put the Wigan forwards on their backs and slow their PTB while they did slow our PTB. IMP Aiton, while doing what he has done so well at this year, was too predictable with his pass selection and Wigan too easily targeted the receiver - JP & Cuthbo in particular. We did not kick well for field position when Wigan, with excellent defense, kept us penned in our own half and when we did it was poor as when we gave Bowen a free run for the Burgess try.

I thought the Leeds kick chase was poor and the persistent use of the high kick backfired as Leeds rarely got enough players there to contest the ball, allowing the Wigan back 3 to counter, meaning they were starting their sets 10 or 20 meters further up the field than Leeds would have wanted. IMO they should either have tried a short kick through or over the top as the Wigan backs were standing deep, or gone for the conservative option and kicked it into touch, sure it doesn't look great, but sometimes you have to show you can win in a different way as plan A isn't always going to work.

All true. But lets not forget, there are times when a plan B won't work either. A lot of the little 50/50 incidents went against us the other evening - as they so often do when being outplayed - so we might well have lost regardless.

But we would really be on the brink of greatness were we able to beat the top sides by merely doing the basics well. Which, given the quality of those sides, we really should aspire to. This is what frustrates me; we have the ability to carve teams apart with our A game but our B game just ain't where it should be. What's worse, we knew this from last year; if this failing wasn't addressed during the big review that took place at the end of last season, exactly what was?
