| I thought Bailey finished the game on the pitch?

| McDermott has just said JJB out with a torn calf. Achurch hurt his knee but probably ok. Ward is very close but they didn't want to chance it.
Nothing about Bailey. He did go down the tunnel after his first stint but he came back on and finished the match.

| Quote: chapylad "McDermott also says he is going to rotate our 3 wingers throughout the season.
Good thinking as they probably have the easiest shift during matches.
But we can`t rotate our ageing pack as we have shipped out players to London or got rid.
I am sure there`s a cunning plan somewhere but I am struggling to find out where it is at the moment.'"
Player power rules....otherwise McDermott is deluded that Burrow playing starting hooker then hiding on the fringes in defence will eventually work one day
. Burrow should defend where he does; he has the pace and tackling ability (unlikeMcGuire) out there to cope, but as for attacking hooker the cunning plan seems to be maybe - just maybe - once in a blue moon the opposition forwards will let Burrow duck under their tackles.
Same old same old this season> let's rely on the off the cuff flamboyance and electrifying pace from the half backs (cough) to break down resolute defences.
In the final 20 we will try - and fecking try again - for a miracle, without the tedium of any pre-planned moves or dummy runners to aid the forlorn efforts.

| I know, the squad is terrible and the coach really doesn't have a clue what he's doing. Sinfield and his cronies select the team. Hetherington is running the club into the ground with his recruitment and retention decisions.
I mean, just look at how unsuccessful we've been since McLennan left.

HEAR! HEAR! Remember what Kevin Sinfield said. 'BM is the best coach he's ever played under'.
That, together with the man's record is enough for me.
Some peaple are born Knockers and nothing you can say or do will change that.

Truce. But just look how much better we could have been playing entertaining rugby and winning even more trophies if we rotated the pack more and did not rely on scoring tries from 50 or 60 metres out.

I just read that we have finished in the top five for the last seventeen seasons. Didn't think about that. At least six coaches in that time.
If we finish outside the top five this year, are you prepared to accept this post of yours is nonsense?

What even when I said you were a sensible poster?
Is that really all you have to come back with?
Posters have questioned points about the team and coach, in relation to going forward. All you do is have a go at these posters in an arrogant patronising manner. If this year is the first in seventeen years of finishing outside the top five, it would completely vindicate those questions would it not?

| What I struggle to understand is the constant bashing of this squad and coach. Yes two of our forward pack are probably too old, however, JP probably had one of his best years ever last season. If there is no-one available to bring in then what can we do?? It would be far worse if JP and Kylie had retired and we were left with the current pack we have. Saying that Singo, Achurch and even Kirke (yes the one we all love to hate) had really good finishes to the year.
Lets not forget that the majority of the current squad have GF winners rings, doesn't make them bad players overnight just because they are a year older. Did Wire fans complain when they gave Hodgson, Moz, Mongahan etc new deals when they are 30++
So Mags isn't as quick as he was when he burst onto the scene but his game has changed to reflect that. This year he will be a massive player for us, a proper injury free pre-season behind him will do wonders. He looked really sharp against London.
Lets stop bashing them and start supporting them. When all the success and the players have gone we will wish players like Mags, Kev, JP, Bailz, JJB et al were still playing.
For me, this squad is the strongest its been since Keith retired. The only players who would improve this are The Burgess', Isaac Luke and Sam Tomkins. None of these are available to sign..

| The point I'm making is that whilst we are a good team (although the field is not that strong). We could and should be better. We have signed an international winger which is great although not really what we needed but it will improve the back line. We signed a reasonable hooker who looked good in an average team. Lunt would have been a better signing. We have let a few players go in the forwards and retained the same forwards who struggled last year and they are another year older. We don't seem to have much of a game plan especially in the oppositions 20 metre. We look predictable at times with no plan B. I think that however good we are we need to get better. Good teams buy players to stay at the top they don't sit back and say half the team have GF winners rings so we must be good. We won feck all last year so something was amiss . What did we do? Buy a winger so we can rotate the 3 of them. Bought a hooker so he can sit on the bench whilst Burrow does the predictable. We needed 2 forwards to keep us at the top and we didn't get them even though we will still probably finish in the top 5 and might get to two semi finals. For a team like Leeds that in my opinion is not good enough considering the opposition.

| Well said chappylad.
Also this "lets just support the team" etc i do that by buying ST's and attending games and when i'm at games they have my full support.
The fact that players like kirke ,a 35yr old Kylie are deemed still worthy of 1st 17 spots and then signing a winger (who i rate very highly btw0 we didn't need for a Club with top2 and CC honours as their target are imo still questionable.
As for the coach we saw last year how he handled his rotations and selections and whilst i disagree with anything re-the Team ,Coaches etc i will say as much.
