| Steveo is getting predictable now, at the game i said Soward is mom but won't get it because LB lost, he'll give it to Burrow any money for a few scoots and running from one edge to the other like a crab, low and behold he does. Personally McShane for me, mom should be given to a game changer, he was certainly the difference on the pitch, it could have been a very nervous night without him.

Yes, Soward was the classiest player on the pitch, and Dorn was also very good. He's been terrible all year but apparently that was his last game for the Broncos as he's having an operation then going to Cas (a lobotomy, presumably).

| Quote: G1 " ... we need a proper hooker...
Burrow at 7 gives us pace at half back, which nobody else does.'"
True, as is this ...
Quote: G1 " ... For all the debate about McShane, in hindsight a lucky decision to recall him. Without him we might well have lost that last night.'"
Quote: G1 "No G1 , i have got opinions and on this one i agree with 3 Super league winning coaches .'"
Over the time of McDermott's tenure ... on the hooker position, the choice of players for half-back positions, the baffling substitutions and/or lack or non-use thereof, keeping Hardaker at centre even when it was clear the lad's winger skills were not suited to the role, Kirke being undroppable, ... there are many opinions I hold and have held where I disagree(d) with the GF-winning coach.
Granted, I'm not a coach and I never know the whole story, but then none of us do, including you, so your opinions are no more valuable or valueless as those of any of us.
As it is, your opinion seems to be that the coaches did it and won, therefore it was right.
A position which is, at best, naive .
I happen to think McD has been fortunate in having a squad that can make even weird choices work, up to a point.

| I thought Kafusi was the clearest individual to MOM on the pitch. Seward was classy.
McShane changed the game Leeds way, and got two excellent try's. BJB and Moon were good in the backs. I thought Sinfield was good, along with JP and to a degree Moore.
Thought Burrow was poor, Hall and Hardaker poor, Watkins for all but a couple of moments of class was poor. Ablett looked lost, which I haven't seen before, Clarkson did not reach the standards of recent weeks.

Couple of points.
Kafusi and Moon were the biggest direct running threats.
Moore's 'blink and you'll miss him' stint?
As for Clarkson - didn't he play for 80 minutes? Not a bad effort if he did.

| Quote: Juan Cornetto "Those blind alleys he kept running down led to scores from BJB and Foster and his accurate kick created JP's try. He was a constant threat, created space for others, made breaks, backed up and could easily have scored a couple himself. I know it was hot but did you forget to take off your aviators?
You thought Hardaker was "reasonable" yet his missed tackle let in Soward for one and his poor positional play was a factor in two other London tries. He also kept getting in the way of Sutcliffe.'"
I thought Hardaker ran the ball back well.
The Hardaker /Sutcliffe situation needs sorting and I am not sure who is at fault there.
Sutcliffe should play his normal game like McShane did last night thankfully.
Burrow may have created a couple of scores but to be honest I could have done better for the rest of the match and I haven`t played for 30 years.
He breaks the momentum most of the time by trying to duck in and out and the runners have no idea what the hell he is trying to do.
Yes law of averages will say he will get a couple out of 20 right But pretty pish poor compared to a decent scrum half in Soward.
Soward clearly showed how to play that position even with poor players around him.

| Its funny, I onl;y had one eye on the game last night so couldnt comment on who was MoM, but when I saw Burrow had won it, my immediate reaction was - Stevo's favourite player.
I came on this board to ask if you thought he was deserved winner or whether it was indeed just the latest installment of Stevo's love affiar with the little guy.
No offence to Burrow (he can't help it), but Stevo just oozes for him constantly. Giving out MoM awards to less than deserving performance for your favourite player is just another example of how Stevo is an inadequte "expert" for TV.

The kick for JPs try was misdirected off the outside of his boot - Hall made a poor kick into a good opportunity for Peacock. I don't think he was abysmal nor do I think he was MOM which I think Sinfield should have been awarded.
Is McShane's inability to get to the PTB a lack of game awareness or a lack of fitness?

I thought he did too.
Mr Kirke was on the pitch. Wasn't a rancid peformance but still carried the same impact as a dandelion.

| Trouble is you need a 'personality' as a pundit, who is there?
Carney has to get the job after Stevo, just comes across as more professional. Is there anyone out there who is gregarious, articulate and intelligent? Burrow would be the leading metre maker behind Hohioha(sp) if they counted sideways running.

Or even an uncertainty in the instructions, since certain others keep jumping in there.

| Quote: G1 "Vehemently disagree. Regardless of Burrow, who has just carted off the fully deserved MOM despite a few errors, we need a proper hooker. Some classic dummy half play tonight from the lad brought back from Hunslet exile. Also, Sinfield controlled the ruck well.

Opinions all, but I have absolutely no idea how you come to the conclusion that Burrow fully deserved MoM.
Thought Soward gave an object lesson in how to play half back. Run straight at the line, draw defenders then look to either go yourself or put someone else into a hole.
Burrow spent much of the night killing good ball by trundling laterally then dropping off a forward on the inside. He's an absolute nightmare for outside backs and second rowers as he constantly takes their space and drags defenders over rather than holding them.

Seriously?
We're taking a pass from first receiver as a key contribution to tries that happen on the other side of the field now?
That's about as big an agenda driven piece of bullhonkey as I've ever read. Both tries owed much, much more to the handling ability of Watkins than anything Burrow may have contributed very early in the move.
