| Rangi is a good player but he is also very overrated, I would not have him anywhere near the England team. Yes, he has moments of Magic, but can he control and win a big match like Sinfield, No. The majority of the time when Rangi has the ball he doesn't know what he's going to do, nevermind his teammates.

| Quote: A-Fire-Inside "I've seen him play in a big game - the Challenge Cup semi in 2011. Granted, he scored a great try. But I wouldn't say he was the most 'magical' player that day - in fact didn't he miss a straight forward (well straight forward for such a magical player anyhow) drop goal attempt as time ran out that would have sent Cas to Wembley?
The more recent events you mention - where was he for the most part of the Huddersfield game? (Apart from being sat on the bench for being binned for dissent).
And that's his whole trouble for me - flashes of greatness, but not enough of it consistently. I'm glad that the rumours of him coming to Leeds turned out to be just that.'"
Chase's try was brilliant but his overall performance that day was awful, including some very non magical passing.
Gotcha has a tendency to over-rate Cas players, remember Craig Huby is the greatest forward in the league.
Chase was no deserving of Man of Steel tother year. He was superb up to about Easter but petered out badly.
He has some moments of brilliance but moments is the operative word. Of course, in such a sheeyite team this could be because he has to try and do too much but like a certain Danny Brough (who produces more consistently than Chase) he's probably on a sheeyite team because a team like Leeds wouldn't touch him. He may well take more away than he adds.

They didn't have any in for last round of cup. Leeds not wanting players cup tied. Obviously feel fine to Let Watson and Hood be cup tied.

| Chase reminds me a bit of Briers - when he's on his game he's outstanding, when he's not he's appalling.
To coin a phrase from well respected Bulls fan "he's either Penthouse or sh[sizei[/sizethouse"

Well how the draw panned out it could well be 12 of the 16 teams left are SL clubs so probably SL opposition in the next round too. They (Hood, Watson) were probably saved last time around in case we got someone like Hemel or The All Golds in Round 4 but against SL opposition (even one near the bottom) then McDermott was always going to good strong.
Probably better for the 2 guys actually, tough learning against Catalans.

Rangi Chase is as good as anything Leeds have had in the SL era, to compare him with Danny Brough (who got us back Into SL and will always be rememered as a great cas half) is rediculous. The only thing Danny has over rangi is a kicking game. The only people who doubt rangi chases ability and watxh him rugularly are the people who fail to see individual brilliance behind a $h!t3 pack or
Clueless rugby league fans.

Blah blah blah, Chase is the best back in SL, blah blah blah, if you don't agree you're clueless, blah blah blah, best Cas player ever.
But Mr Chase wanted the Hell out of Cas last year though didn't he but wasn't allowed. Mr Chase still wants the Hell out of Cas.
Oh and you might want to run your post through a spell-checker before you hit the Submit button - just makes you look a bit daft otherwise.

That's pure irony given the bollox you've posted recently
My opinion remains the same he lacks consistency and once again last night when the game was in the balance one no6 stepped up whereas the other faded to the individual efforts that did zip for his team.
Oh and as a final note i don't get embarrased for having an opinion and never will.

| I'm with the Cas fan on this. I wish we would have pushed harder to get Rangi a couple of years back. No offence meant to Cas, but I do think in a top team he would have been unstoppable and with a Chase 6, McGuire 7, Sinfield 13 we wouldnt have lost many matches in the last 2 years... Not that it's mattered though.
On the field, Rangi is all class. I actually think The Dragons have got an upgrade as far as a playmaker goes. Soward can be good, but he relies on his speed and kicking game. Against the better defences he struggles. Chase has shown that he can break down good defences in a poor team.

| We've all seen Sinfield and other senior pros step up to the plate when we've had our backs to the wall (including last night)
When his team needed his inspiration last night, he spent most of the time 'Doing ASean Long' and hiding out at left centre.
I fail to see how with anyone else in the team, we'd have done much better than the number domestic championships or WCCs we've picked up in the last few years.
Being the big fish in a the small puddle that is Cas, I suspect he'd be a negative influence on our tight knit well bonded multiple championship wining squad.
