| To be fair I think Leeds were messing around Lowes by asking him to play second row and Bradford were willing to guarantee him the role as starting hooker. He may have been lured away regardless but I hold Leeds more responsible for allowing it to happen.

| Quote: mmcdonagh "I would miss Bradford as much as I would miss Wigan and Saints......I do not want to see any team fold especially a rival. Would Celtic fans want Rangers to go no longer exist - I think after a couple of months they would start to yearn for that rivalry to be re-kindled.
I do not understand how they achieved a license for three years though. What did they show the RFL that proved beyond reasonable doubt that they would be financially secure for the next three years?
I think the RFL have a lot of questions to answer on this front.....
I think their license should be re-voked from next season.......but I would like to see them sort themselves out and come back.'"
But this is Celtic and Queen of the South

| AH - the past is the past. Just because the Bulls did it to Leeds (or anyone else) in the past doesn't make it right for others to do the same. That's a playground excuse for bad behaviour.

| Interesting comments by the Bulls Chief Exec last night on local news.. mentioned a well publicised court case with a rival club as a contributing factor.. funnily enough no mention or admittance of any mis management over the years....

| Is anyone started think that this whole ' we're on the brink ' that the Bradford club are spinning could be nothing more than a publicity stunt? I really can't see the club going out of business in just over 10 days time if they don't raise the money. After the news broke yesterday morning the Bradford Bulls brand have been in everything except a $hit sandwich! They get lots of free publicity, guarrenteed big attendances at their next few games and the big one is that they are not asking people to give money straight away, only to pledge that they would. I'm beginning to smell a rat.

The problem with that sort of strategy is that going so public with your pleas just brings the whole world of commerce down on your head like a ton of bricks - I'd imagine that anyone who supplied anything to the Bulls on credit was on the phone yesterday demanding the settlement of their outstanding accounts, including HMRC.
You give anyone a sniff of impending doom and its like a cast iron guarantee that doom will come and the quickest way to bring in the administrators if only to give your receptionist a break on the phones - which is why I can sort of understand why Hood has been so, shall we say, careful, about their financial situation over the past few months.

I'd have to agree with Mcfield on this, having witnessed plenty of company's go bust recently the very last thing you do is admit any problems on such a large scale, meetings with the bank/creditors etc are the norm but what hood has done is basically admitting he's wrapping the company up in a months time and any money in the meantime is a bonus.
Would you invest any money in the Bulls right now considering that Odsul in not a Bulls asset.

| Pretty sad isn't it.
Good luck to them, hope they get it sorted off and on the field.

For a recent example look at how media exposure caused panic about Northern Rock

As I understand it, it was the threat by HMRC to petition for winding up if the tax liabilities are not paid in the next couple of weeks that brought this about. So I am given to understand, anyway.

The CEO's mea culpa was covered with the line "We are, where we are" Well that's just fine and dandy then, How much did you say you need?

| The CEO is an honest and thoroughly decent, normal young guy who I believe to be doing his best. He is basically a salaried employee. Funnily enough, he was left holding the baby yesterday as the other directors were out of town.

I'd hold back on those thoughts if i were you Adey considering where you are and who has been running the club.
