| Quote: DHM "You mean when Cross hit him after he'd dropped the ball? He wasn't in the air, the shot wasn't high. It's not Cross's fault if the ball bounced off Cockayne's head.'"
Yes it must be that. Really bad tackle that was

The ball did hit Cockayne on the head or shoulder an instant before Cross hit him. I guess you were at the game (credit to you, I wasn't), and it was very difficult to see in normal speed, but slo-mo showed that the penalty was a 50/50 and a yellow would have been uncalled for.

Wiping out Ben Cockayne when trying to take a bomb and amking to attempt to get the ball.
Maybe even Ablett's petulence towards Halibut?'"
there were no bad head shots deserving of sin bin. I seem to remember HK throwing a few. The hit by cross was no way dirty play. Is that ablett when KR stripped the ball but halibut let you off.

An accidental collision as Sinfield tried to put one of his teamates on-side. Penalty was fair enough for contact with the full back without the ball.
While you're talking about Cockayne, maybe somebody ought to look at the way he carries his elbow when he runs into a tackle. Pitts caught a beauty in the face from him in the second half.

In that case please take my apologies, was at the match so not seen any close-up footage yet.

Not sure Rovers got penalised for any head shots did we?
Will have to defer on the Cross hit on Cockayne. From where I was stood and from my view of the big screen it looked like a case of going straight for the man and ignoring the ball. If it really was a case of the ball being with Cockayne before the hit then fair enough.
The Ablett incident was right in front of me - his hand was knocked by a Rovers player which dislodged the ball. I'm not sure it was even a deliberate knock and their was only one man in the tackle anyway. In any case the Sinfield esque dissent was uncalled for. Definately the right call from Halibut though.

No dont think you were penalised for any but there were some, as in all games of rugby.
We will have to differ on the cockayne incident, watching on tv didnt look anything in it.
On the ablett thing agree he should have been punished for dissent but not dirty play?

| The Cross tackle on Cockayne was not in the air, but the player had already lost the ball. It was clear he had no intention of going for the ball, but it was mistimed by milliseconds. If Cockayne had held on to the ball it would have been a belter, but as he lost it Cross was tackling a man without the ball.

Yes true but it was not dirty play as some have suggested.

| I would say it was aggressive and designed to be intimidating. Dirty maybe, but not a cowardly attack on a player like Lima last week for example.

| i took my daughter(who chose the dark side instead of the black n whites) today and have to say even though you lost from my neutral perspective it was a great game to watch
thought the cockayne/cross incident was a 50/50 call but only saw it the once.both sides did the odd high shot but thought the ref got most things more or less spot on on what i saw

'" What utter codswallop.
You could clearly see Sinfield look at Cockayne before he made his 'accidental collision'.
I know some Leeds fans are one eyed but good god
I'll not comment of you views on Ben Cockayne as you clearly can't see through your bias.

| Sinfield did deliberately nudge Cockayne, but that's enough for a penalty.
