No worries.
Out of interest, which could be very interesting, how could Ryan Bailey improve his defensive game? What are you thoughts? What areas of his defence need the most work?

| Well I am not Bailey's biggest fan and have had the odd discusion with BB regarding this. However I have to say that his defence is usually sound and this has been consistent over several seasons.
What are things coming to? Me defending big Ryan. I'll be using that silly name (T....!!) next. But on second thoughts...

| Quote: G1 "Keith, neither Kirke or Bailey could realistically be described as Leeds worst ever players, whatever their contributions to GF successes.'"
Correct, but neither do they warrant adoration on the basis they've earned several SL Rings on the back of others far more significant contributions, despite it being noted that in the case of these two, your adoration is selectively applied to Bailey and NOT Kirke.
If one assumes the career of a prop forward is distinguished by a maturity and an improvement with age, then Bailey's career is an inversion. He started off with a lot of promise at a young age, played for GB at 20/21 years of age, yet he's gradually gone downhill ever since. He's become a bench player and nothing more than a bit-part player. He offers a bit to the team but not a lot.
He's a poor man's Sonny Nickle.

There's a natural tendency for threads to drift away from the original topic... it's far from being an unusual occurence. The cause of the thread drift on this particular occasion was due to an overly-aggressive, agenda-driven, knee-jerk reaction to the nomination and critique of Bailey.
Agenda-driven replies play a significant role in thread drift. Another recent example of this type of occurence would be in the 'Nilling Opposition' thread where a certain individual appears intent on turning it into yet another Buderus/Diskin p[ii[/issing contest.

Discussing Buderus's defensive failings on a thread that is discussing the team's defensive failings is hardly thread drift. What direction the discussion takes after that is hardly my doing
To even discuss Bailey on a thread discussing Leeds worst ever players is more than thread drift. It's fekkwittedry.

I'd agree with that. OTOH, a thread about the most overrated Leeds players ever would appear far more apposite WRT Bailey's inclusion. He'd get my vote there.

Just without the disgusting acts on the pitch, numerous red cards and lengthy bans.

Which also interestingly links the conversation back to Buderus who might well get my vote. I know I will face the wrath of his army of admirers.
