Agreed and that seems to be the news coming out of Wigan too...

| If this rumour about Fielden wanting to come closer to home has any truth in it, and I don't think it has, I'd happily take him on a contract to the end of the season, with an option for a further two years after that.
If it came off I'd spend the next two months telling him that we believed in him and thought he still had some very good years in front of him. SF is desparately short of confidence and needs someone other than Noble to listen to. He's been coached by Nobby for 9 years now, and that's a long time for any player to have one coach.
He still has it in him, and the issues he has had over the last three years have been almost exclusively mental. I don't think he has ever really recovered from losing his mum, and the fall out in Australia with Mason etc.
Fielden, without the pressure put on him by the unrealistic expectations of Wigan, and with the right coaching, would be a positive addition in an area that we will be weak in come the end of the season.

| Watching the footy show last night and crocker has given up on hull and has an offer from leeds "sister club" souths (what ever happend to that?),
Anyway rumour has has it they have to release craig wing, i know he is a utility player who played a lot at hooker but didn't he play in the centre aswell as covering the halves at test level!! i might be wrong, Ill give russell crowe a ring see how he's playing.

| I dont care how far Fielden looks ot have gone backwards. He is the type of player we should be looking to bring in to give our pack a kick up the backside.

Craig wing playing loose forward today, also kidwell in back row, (he was a possible target in the past) if crocker does sign and they have to release a player, Leeds should show their intention, if they can't recruit from their sister club I don't think garrys trying 2 hard.

| If we were to be on the look out for a Prop i like the look of Catalans Dragons David Ferriol a big powerful, ball-carrying prop forward at the age of 30 i think he could do the job for us...

Do Leeds have any props who are currently off contract?
We need a decent prop and Wing has been told that souths won't stand in his way if he can get a better deal elsewhere.
Maybe the powers that be at both of our clubs could get together and work out a possible trade deal?

| Feilden would be worth a punt - it may do him world of good to get away from wigan and start a fresh. Plus i'm sure he'd be delighted to be playing with Peacock again. Only probelm would be salary, one good thing he's not a current gb international so he he can't demand too much? or can he...?

He can demand what he wants but one thing is clear he won't get it anywhere, least of all at Leeds.
I'd much rather Leeds found a hungry, younger prop from the Championship comp. Jon Fallon at Featherstone would be my choice. He reminds me of a young Andy Goodway, who at his best, could play anywhere in the pack.

Totally opposed. His Leeds days didn't do him justice and the same could be said of many players around that time. I hope Leeds don't add Stuart Fielden to the list.
That doesn't diminish the player Goodway was at Oldham, Wigan and for GB though. More like him and who knows?
Jon Fallon reminds me of the young Andy Goodway and that's a sizeable compliment. I'd be surprised if someone doesn't give him a chance in SL, if he wants it (?)

Can't help with the props, leeds need one themselves, but me personally would have craig wing at headingley, played tests at centre, half back, hooker, currently loose forward at souths. Go on garry its worth a punt.

Amor was impressive also but that was the first time he'd come to my attention so I'll have to wait another game before deciding he's a must buy instant replacement for Gareth Ellis.
