A great signing and a player who is a massive upgrade on last seasons halfbacks. Hopefully we can get the best out of him in the way Salford did.

Maybe a better question than "how much have we paid in transfer fees" is "has anybody else paid the same, or more? " I doubt it.

I'd be amazed if they had. In fact I'd be surprised if anyone had paid half the total we have over the same time period.

Out of that list of 24 names (excluding Croft/Ackers) I'd say we got four I could categorise as Legends or at least outstanding, seven 'very good's, six 'OK's and seven duds.

Not sure if that's a good hit rate or not although most - but not all - of the duds were cheaper buys.

Still wont stop some in the near future calling Hetherington tight.

Looking forward to seeing Croft next year , he should be just what we’ve needed.

Prop depth is still a concern but actually excited about watching our backs for first time in many years.

Hope Newman goes well for England and stays fit.

I think the call up will be good for Harry, being in that environment with strong expectations from wane. Just hope he stays fit but that wouldn't be a reason to not let him go.
