| I'll eat my left nut if Gannon becomes a quality week to week half back. Risky business making such a big switch with a player whose shown so much potential in the pack. Rohans press conferences sounded like the long term plan isn't just a filler now and again.

| Quote chapylad="chapylad"MacDonald and Newman should be our centres with either Olpherts/Tindall on one wing Handley on the other.
We need to stop shoehorning players into positions they are not as good at eg Handley to FB, Martin to RC, MacDonald wing, Gannon to SO and Bentley to Hooker.
With Smith saying the forwards are his priority next season maybe the likes of Tetavano and maybe Bentley/Lisone are leaving.
It goes without saying we need at least 1 half back and preferably 2 plus a FB unless Hooley all of a sudden becomes our saviour.'"
I agree we could strengthen in the pack, but it looks to me like RS has been reading the "Book of Misdirection" by Gary Hetherington. It's clear we need to strengthen most in the creative positions.

Lisone staying according to his Mrs. She's coming back at some point. Story in YEP. Agree re Macdonlad, he's far better at centre.

Yes it sounds like Gannon is the new "style" of 6 as Smith says, whatever that means also get the impression Handley will be fullback moving forward interesting times indeed.

At 18 Gannon can still move around a fair bit, it’s a big change to SO but it helps intelligent players to play different positions and develop game knowledge and flexibility.
Long term he may well not suit it but would make him say a better loose forward in 5 years time when he will only be 23.
Jack Gibson used to do it at Parramatta with Kenny and Ella and Mark Laurie.
For your sake Seth I hope he does not become the new Laurie Daley. Although in the internet age you could make a fortune showing it live on YouTube.

| He just has a lot of development to do still as a back row let alone a half. I think he needs to consolidate those skills right now otherwise it could be detrimental to his future in the game.

| I've stopped watching the RS interviews. He says nothing of any consequence and is so guarded in his plans that there seems like very little point listening to him at all

| The MG at halfback trial isn't really about him being a viable halfback option, it's about improving his handling so he becomes a Worldie in every aspect of back row play.
