| This isn’t the end either as I believe they are looking at the same kind of deal with Amazon Prime as well as Our League app.

Does anyone know if it comes with a cash injection?
Personally, I can't stand sky's coverage of RL, so will be interesting to see who they have as presenters/pundits etc.'"
I pretty sure Clive Tyldesley, one of the chief ITV football commentators, cut his teeth doing the Saturday afternoon matches Granada used to televise in the late eighties. Would be great if we could find another ambitious up and coming talent. Does not have to be steeped in the sport to do the job.

| Good not to have all our eggs in the sky basket.
Hopefully it pays hard coin.
Will it add much that the cup games on The grandstand slot don't?
I get why trying to draw big crowds appeals but being honest it's not something the clubs have worked overhard at to complement the poor old Beeb's coverage

I guess the difference here is that the clubs have a lot of notice of this game, unlike cup rounds, and aren't compromised by having to agree ticket prices with the visiting club which is the case with the cup due to the shared gate.

All good points. I'm optimistic that the more progressive clubs will buy in to that. Sadly, there'll likely be a few that'll do the usual minimum

| Great news for the game. It gives the game a shot in the arm, and a chance to sell itself. Other advantage you have with Saturday games in SL over the cup is season ticket holders. Your crowds will automatically be larger than the cup games

| Saturday afternoon might be a clever time. I imagine it will find itself on in most pubs up and down the country. Also makes it easy for families to attend the games and especially away fans. Been people calling for Adam Hills and Tim Lovejoy to present it which I was confused about at first but now think it would be really refreshing.

It's a great time and well thought out. Good news all round. Lets hope the sport grows now from this.

| Absolutely imperative that Channel 4 do not hire Alex Simmons and/or Wayne Godwin.

| Personally I'm not a fan of the Sky commentary team. I find Carney way too aggressive and Clarke is just irritating. Wells is irritating too. If C4 can get the right presenter team here it would be great.

| I don't mind Carney. The way he words things can be over complicated sometimes, and he can stumble over his words too, but overall he's ok. I actually think having a different accent and a good looking bloke on camera are probably as valuable as what he says tbh.
Clarke is terrible! How on earth is he still there. Jon Wells is just pure cringey. They need to get some better pundits, and apart from Carney, I'd get rid of the whole sky team.

| Still anoyed at myself, following Phil Clarke down the stairs in the SS. could easily have tripped him and got him out of action for a considerable spell.
Maybe next time I won't let the opportunity go by

Mate that would have to be a good trip, I'm guessing he's still pretty handy if he came after you for retribution!
