| Ferres must have pics of the management team doing something they shouldnt, cant believe the waste of space is back again...Whatever length of time or capacity it may be.
Harrison, im interested in, looks a good player, i hope he gets a go to see if he can handle the step up.
Real shame that Fevs Brad Day is still coming back from a serious injury, best backrower in the champ for me, would of liked to see him have a stint with us.

This might surprise people but Fev's players in interviews during lockdown were glowing in their praise of Ferres for his impact off the field, very much a leader and plenty of them see him as a future coach. There's no way he would have been brought in unless Webster thought he could make a positive impact. He's clearly not a SL-level player these days but in a strange year such as this he could probably fill in for a game or two and as I say i think he'll have been brought in as much for his veteran experience off the field.
Harrison is Karl's son and is a tall, rangy forward who has done a good job for Fev both at edge back row and in the middle. He's come on a lot since we signed him from Batley, it's hard to say how well he'll go in SL because there's such a gap between being a good Championship player and being a SL starter but I bet he won't let you down. He's the type of player that tends to intrigue SL coaches because of his height (see Ormondroyd, but Harrison is a better player than Ormondroyd).
Yes Brad Day wouldn't be ready to play yet following his injury, I agree that he's arguably the best back row in the Championship, he's tremendously strong but probably just lacks the size SL teams are looking for in an edge back row. Day's probably the better player of the two at the moment but Harrison has more potential to develop into a SL player, if that makes sense.
Anyway, after years of reading on forums that Fev are too dependent on Leeds to be considered as a potential SL team, it's nice to see the boot is on the other foot!

Yeah i see where your coming from on Harrisons potential over Day, bit younger and with the right frame to put some good size on. Days size is fine though, he's similir size to Stevie Ward or Rhyse Martin and he's explosive...Would love to of seen how he'd go in SL and looking forward to how Harrison does with his chance.
On Ferres, he's a liability on the field, what he's like off it is all well and good, but his standards on the pitch are woeful. We'v got ex player leaders all over the club and right through our coaching staff, we shouldnt need another, especially a player who does his best work off the pitch apparently.
Im not going out my way to be negative and i know its short term, but he's the last player we should be bringing back imo, im all for younger lads with potential like Harrison getting there shot, not a mid 30's player that was useless the first time and nearly everyone couldnt wait to get rid of.

| Fantastic news to bring Brett back into the fold. Was a real leader on the field, always worked hard and did the tough stuff without getting the plaudits from the fans - happy to have him back at the club.

I think after yesterdays win the club have decided to bring him back to give some people something to complain about again.
Theyve taken the opportunity with relish.

| It just seems silly to do this on the very same day aswell, when Hull FC showed exactly what can be gained by doing the right thing.
How poop were they previously. Draft in a host of energetic youngsters, at the expense of so called experience, and bang.

| I guess the key is where they sit in the pecking order. If they are ahead of the youngsters then it's a bad move. If it's as cover for the youngsters, or to allow the youngsters to be brought in gradually then it may not be a bad move.
It's certainly a strange one.

Thats not it though Marty, Ferres is old, useless, a penaltymachine and full of errors imo. Not about wanting somthing to complain about. If you think he's better than that and its a good thing he's back, great, i disagree, just different opinions. For me, he's the last player id be bringing back, in any capacity. Happy Harrisons getting his chance which i know dosnt fit the wanting 'somthing to complain about' label, but he's the profile of player i like to see getting a chance...happy with that one.

| The club has to realise that in defeats you can get victories. We lost against Wigan 2 week ago but youngsters Holroyd, McLelland, Newman, Oledski etc got valuable minutes in their development. Minutes that are vital for the club going forward.
Remains to be seen how long these 2 loanees play but they could take away minutes from Walters, Muizz, O'Connor who between them could easily cover the next month though i suspect both loanees have been brought in to cover prop rather than back row.

| Obviously short term thinking with these signings. Have the club ensured our young squad players they'll be guaranteed game time later in the season? Once the mid week games kick in.
