Start as you mean to go on. Stop pishing about with the captaincy, sort it out. It was ridiculous when we appointed McGuire after Sinfield finished, it was even worse when we then gave it to Watkins. To have utter self appreciating players like Ferres filling in, is nonsense.

Merrin was brought over as a leader, and he looks the only player capable. So make that change as a starter this week, and say this is the way we go on.

Because he never was right for it. The rot started the minute Sinfield went, and we never got the important role right.

Reason why he was not right for it ?

Mcguire was fine as a Captain, he hardly played in 2016 and we ended up in the middle 8s he played far more in 2017 and we won the title.

Anyway who the captain is is way down on the list of problems, it seems this team cannot go through a full game without seitching off at crucial times we need to sort that out and fast. Furner must be tearing his hair out

The feeling I have now came a bit later .I couldn't predict a win at all .I dont know when the next win is going to come

Just out of interest what makes you believe we will win this? I know Cats got pumped by Salford but they are usually hard to beat at home otherwise and will see us as a big opportunity to get two points on the board. They have a big pack which we will struggle to neutralise with our powder puff lot and we tend to always have a tough time over there even in the good days.

Can't see anything but a Cats win and best we can hope for here is keeping it close.

I was always a big fan of McGuire the player, and he was brilliant in his last few games for us. That’s one reason we were champions in 2017. However I never rated him as a captain - he spent far too much time arguing with referees instead of organising the team. In similar vein, Ferres is too preoccupied with sniping at opponents. Watkins is a great player, but doesn’t seem to lead (although sets a good example). So maybe it should be Merrin...
