Golding returning a kick this season has almost always led to negative yards after contact. I'd rather bin off Briscoe and see if Golding can earn a place on the wing.... and keep Jack Walker at FB.

I have to disagree with you here. He makes fast yards in return, just like Walker also. Where he lets himself down is that he then tends to then run sideways, which is where he then loses out in the contact.

Let me say this, at your work if you were in a key meeting and you didn't see eye to eye or disagreed with the other person, if you both came out and told your side of the story do you honestly believe their wouldn't be a significant variation between the two stories with the reality laying somewhere in the middle?

Firstly there is no mention of "nothing is said in that final meeting", read again, it clearly says "nothing was said ON that final meeting" on this board or any other message board, until the club made their announcement. This is the case in point of why the argument you are trying to make, has no foundation. Although, honestly mate, if you can show anything said before that announcement about that final meeting, then please show it, and I will very publically apologise, and to anyone else personally.

Again all what was said before that annoucement, was the derisory offer made, the offer turned down, and his agent touting him about, and how that agent was having too much influence. That announcement from the club confirmed an initial meeting two months earlier, but centred on the player turning down their latest offer only last week. So what so called "rumours" were the club defending themselves against? Has any Super League club ever come out publically to discuss a seventeen year old turning down a contract with a club?

I would like to point out, that long term, the move the club made might end up working, but nobody can tell me it was anything other than unprofessional. And that does not matter who the player is. This is a message board for discussion amongst fans. If all you want to do is here about club announcements, then that is easily done by just looking at the clubs webpage. But not everything will be posted on there. On here people discuss things that will and won't be on there. I just can't see why someone would be on here if going to take an offence to it. You add your own views to many posts, so why take offence to others?

And the player would've still have left regardless of your rumours, so all you did was force Leeds to tell their side of the story and now you're slamming them?

I am going to ask again, what were the rumours posted before that announcement that made them have to come out with a public announcement?

Have you actually read the announcement? All written by the Leeds club, but yet the last statement says it all. "I want to stay at Leeds, but I owe it to myself to listen to all offers". That is what was said, backed up by Leeds. This after these do called damaging "rumours" you are saying happened. Leeds made a revised offer in a second meeting, as confirmed in their own announcement. So again how did so called "rumours" mean he would have left anyway, even before this second meeting?

I am been clear here, there was nothing said before that announcement that was in anyway damaging on the Leeds club, none at all. But again I ask you, and for a third time, if you really think that then show what they were, and you will have my apology.

You have taken a thread about Ashton Golding, and defending the lad, and made into something else on an argument that simply makes no sense.

Are you actually that naive to not understand how rumours work? It only takes 2/3 ppl on here to see what you've put and then copy onto FB and twitter, which I have seen, for then hundreds (potentially thousands) of Leeds fans to see and then they circulate as well.

You can post whatever you want and what you hear, but if you're going to criticise the club for telling their side of the story then quite rightly you will get pulled up about it.

And yes I did read the statement, one certain part has been ignored but I think is very important......"We revisited it again last week because the lack of a commitment from Jack was becoming an issue within the squad and also affecting our planning for the future".......no one seems to cares that the club has a WHOLE squad to manage and can't spend ages waiting around for Walker to decide. Whether he stays or goes does effect other players futures so he should respect that fact.
