| Quote RhinoLaney="RhinoLaney"When people say "Times change, move on" etc - How so? How far do you take it? Why haven't Warrington "moved with the times" as some put it...that terrace of there's is fantastic I thought we when was in it for the Semi-Final.
They moved in to a modern stadium and managed to keep the terrace so why can't we?'"
Because Warrington didn't lose 1,300 seats from one side of the ground that they had to replace.
In fact I'd hazard a guess that the HJ has more seats than Wilderspool used to, given the main stand there had terracing in front of it.
And there still is a terrace in the South Stand. It's just about 20% smaller than the existing one. So what's the problem again?

| I dont see the logic in this. Those that want to Stand in the south stand, can stand. Who is bothered that there are some seats above you?
See my point of view. Me and my old man had been south standers for 10 years. However my dad now has arthritis in his back so for the past two years we have had to move to the very dull paddock to sit down and just envy the atmosphere that is in the south stand. So from point of view, this is brilliant news.
What I would like to see is a lower roof. That is what makes the current south stand unique. Why do all these modern stands have very high massive roofs that is wide open to the elements??

| It's all rather embarrassing. These now two groups I've seen on Facebook regarding the seating.

This. Plaster it to all those that want the south stand all standing. Also tell them that the lost 1,300 seats in the main stand will make that a complete sell out every week. What a way to attract new fans and cater for the older generation that need to sit down.

| After over 25 years in the SS and previously in the Western Terrace, I have, very reluctantly, had to move to the NS this season, simply because I can no longer stand for that length of time. Firstly. I will be taking my own 'atmosphere' across with me, so to speak, and secondly I can't wait for the opportunity to get back to the SS and have a seat! So the project looks great to me. I do have some sympathy for home fans (away fans...not so much!) who appear to be stuck even longer in the Western Terrace which will look shabby and inhospitable by comparison and surely needs to be included - only a few of those houses still appear to be family homes. They have deteriorated badly, especially those let to students. It cannot continue be an unsolvable problem, given the contrast with what looks like an impressive and appropriate stadium for the game I love and the legacy of the success of best team for years.

Yes they'll be terracing in the South Stand, people get this Andy but you've got 1,300 people coming across from the North Stand as much I don't like to judge I can't see them wanting to create a similar type of atmosphere as we have now, can you?
If it was to have seats surely it would be better the other way around? Seats at the front, Standing at the back?
Don't even get me started on the roof, why does most new builds/stands have to have high roofs?

| If the new stand is finished and looks anything like the picture it will enhance the stadium no end.
There will be standing in the Sth stand - the Carneige and the western terrace how much more standing do the luddites want?
This is 2016 for goodness sake.

| Well there is going to be exhibitions throughout February where everyone can voice there suggestions and concerns, wether that will change minds I don't know.Remember the vote for a club nickname? I didn't realize the North stand was so much reduction on capacity.I wonder if they considered moving a few metres and build both stands a bit further back?

| You should stage a sit-in in the South Stand for the first game in protest.

Sorry if I've missed it but what will be the new capacity of HQ when all of the developments are finished?

Seating configurations don't create atmosphere. Fans create atmosphere. There will still be 7,000 people in that stand on a weekly basis. I'm not sure where this idea comes from that anyone who sits down at a sporting event is immediately rendered mute?
I've been in plenty of all-seater stadia with incredible atmospheres for big games (the old Highbury, Valley Parade, Old Trafford etc) so it's nonsense to suggest that if people have their backsides on a seat somehow it will kill it.
