Leeds are a quality outfit as everyone knows. It is very difficult to reach a peak for the Cup Final come down and then peak all over for the play offs. Yes Wigan did it last year really that was the exception that proved the rule.

So Leeds will be a force again next year and once again have stocked the trophy cabinet in 2014. The way Leeds started this season with an unbelievable defensive record (9 against per game until way into the season) I did expect them to do even better but it's a long season and with the benefit of hindsight that was never going to be sustained.

Always Leeds players and coaches show class even in defeat. The opposition are given due credit, no hard luck stories, no referee bashing, no excuses. I admire that.

Can't win 'em all Leeds fans. Congratulations to Catalans Dragons on a deserved victory.
With Todd Carney and a rejuvenated Scott Dureau in the ranks they are only going to be even better in 2015.

Huby and Clarke are obviously massive losses, but, Chase looked completely irreplaceable and was totally relied upon - Powell takes a championship cast-off and a bottom of the league surplus to requirement halves and we're revolutionised.

Our signings for next season are cherry picked for purpose and we will be a much more difficult side to beat. That's not to say we'll finish as high, but there'll be more consistency, grit and structure.

This team could still have one last hurrah in it over the next season or two but the worrying thing is what happens next? The players coming through are hardly ripping up trees and we are going to be having several all time greats in key positions moving on at the same time.
