Good god the foaming at the mouth if he only gets 2 matches and is free to play in the CC semi will be at unprecedented levels from other fans.

Btw wouldn't argue at all if he did get 3 matches (seems around the right mark to me).

It won't ruin the season as a whole as he'd have to get a very unlikely 7/8 games which would roll into the playoffs......but the CC could be a different story.

If somehow he got 5 matches he'd miss Wembley IF we get there.

It wasn't a proper headbutt, but it was certainly aggressive. I'd expect 4-6 matches. Ignoring the hyperbole and mouth-frothing, it was a very stupid thing to do. Most unexpected from him, and very disappointing. Whatever happened to provoke it, Dorn gets a bit of credit for his reaction. No girly rolling around and histrionics to the ref.

Might have cost us a point tonight (although I thought Cas were more than good value for one). Could cost more with a semi final looming.

I think you have gave a good balanced post. I would moan if he got less than 3, personally would say 4 with a game off for good behaviour.

If you're giving 4-6 matches on a maximum grade for that then what do you do when someone lands a *real* headbutt? You'll have to invent new letters for the disciplinary process.

If he gets 4 matches for that I will consider watching another sport. No more contact than the Leigh player who dropped on Peacock - and he wasn't even charged. Now if Dorn had manned up and thrown a few then I would have been happy with that as well.

As has been said the RFL do not like head butts.
OK we've all seen far worse but after last week's Catalans nonsense I think they'll go with a four match ban reduced by one for an EGP and previous good record.

Anyone who wants to wonder what's happened to the game could search a well known site for Andy Farrell headbutt, or Adam Fogerty headbutt. Yellow cards both of them (good old Russell). Then they could search for Les Boyd headbutt (play on!). Some of the delicate flowers on here would probably need a good lie down afterwards though.

Kris Welham received no suspension for a headbutt on Luke Dorn back in February.

If the RFL don't like use of the head, why didn't Monaghan get a masisve suspension for what he did to Sinfield in the GF a few years back? That was one of the most cynically dangerous fouls I've seen, with far more force than the average headbutt, yet nothing seemed to come of it.

I think the RFL will give him 2/3 games I actually think he expected Dorn to come into him as well in a head shoving confrontation but Dorn held his ground.
