| Quote: Andy Gilder "How is Sutcliffe being "restricted"? He's taken the line on plenty since he came into the team, certainly no less than Sinfield does. The try he scored at home to Widnes and the set up for Burrow at Widnes spring to mind straight away.
He's also demonstrated his attacking kicking game, demanding the ball at first receiver on the last tackle.
To suggest that he is somehow being deliberately told not to do what would be best for the team just so McDermott can find an excuse to drop him when Sinfield is fit is laughable.'"
You would have to be pretty oblivious to the game not to recognise that he is not been given the role he would generally do.
The examples you state may well be the case, but not exactly anything close to what you would expect from your stand off. He is clearly being managed, and whether that's better for the player and team is subjective opinion, but definitely happening.
He certainly seems to have a lot more to his game than he is "allowed" to demonstrate at the moment.
Back on topic, Moore made some poor choices on Friday, but for effort and enthusiasm alone I would have in front of Kirke every time.

I have consistently stated the same .....Leeds continue to consistently make mistakes with the retention/departure policy of forwards. Kirke and Moore still with us; Lauititi and Amor not so....compounded by Griffin being preferred over Amor and now the loss of Baldwinson & Tonks.
All the more confusing when compared to the policy on the backs....largely to date all positive.

He never said Sinfield wouldn't start back at 6 when fit. He just said (and correctly so) that's its laughable that the paranoia brigade could even image a scenario where McDermott has been thinking these last few weeks...."i'll tell Sutcliffe not to impress too much so that it'll make it easier to recall Sinfield".

Given his performance Friday, it's McShane that needs to be looking over his shoulder at Sinfield's return...

| I've no doubts Sutcliffe isn't taking the 5th tackle options/kicks as much as he could and i think it's obvious Burrow and Mcshane are trying to take as much of those as possible.
I've no problems about it when it works or even goes awry a couple of times but against Wakey it was awful.
I don't buy into any conspiracy theory either btw i just think the Team/Coach are trying not to put everything on his shoulders at once like with the Goal kicking he's a very good goal kicker aswell but has been over-looked for that.
As for the Moore/Kirke debate in an ideal scenario both would be departing at the end of the year and Amor would still be here along with Baldwinson at the very least to step in.

It was clear from out games against Wakefield last year that Amor was a cut above our props other than JP, and it was made clear again. I have no idea why GH didn't enforce his contract to us.

| More than likely GH asked Amor what he wanted to do and Kyle probably said he wanted to play for wakefield because he was a first team regular. It's not always the best option to play for a bigger club where competition for places isn't as easy. A good example is Griffin. He's moved up the ladder with clubs but look where he is now.

I don`t think for one minute the coach is trying to make Sutcliffe look bad so that he could bring Sinfield back.
But you and I must have been watching a different game on Friday.
It certainly looked to me that Sutcliffe was passing the ball on every time he received it without taking the man on as he does in the U19s.
McDermott said himself he is trying to take the pressure off him.
Not sure why as he is a natural plays off the cuff sort of player something we desperately need when the likes of Burrow is playing and for that matter Sinfield.
McShane didn`t help either on Friday.
And yes I would have kept Amor over Kirke and Moore probably one of GH `s worse decisions of late along with retaining Kirke and Bailey.

It's never struck me as an issue since he's been in the team to be honest, he's taken his man on regularly. I did notice he was limping for quite a while before he actually went off, so he probably was restricted in that sense.

Give me anyone over Kirke every time. Trier is not a word one could use for Kirke.

| Moore and Kirke both had ones to forget.
Moore just looks like he tries too hard at times and on Friday I think Kirke would have missed tackling a static tackle bag.
