Red's was sent from the gods to please us. I have managed to get in 3 times on my jaunts to Leeds and not had to wait longer than about 5 minutes. Admittedly, two of those occassions were mid to late afternoon rather than evening. The value for money on food was most impressive and the quality is second to none.

Shabab is nice, same people that had the one at the top of eastgate too, has a good reputation and has been around for years..

I'm a big Akbars fan & am going to the one in Bradford tonight, but Shababs is brilliant. Sometimes you can get groupons for it as well.

If your in a large group good look at getting your food right and in a reasonable time if you go to Shabab. Had a pretty poor experiance there last year with wrong food, some of it cold etc

You don't really have to wait in line at Reds. If they cant seat you straight away they advise you how long it'll be (usually an hour) and take your mobile number. if the table is ready earlier you get a call. We've had to do this a couple of times and we just pop to a local watering hole

As for curry houses last Friday before the match I re-discovered the Corner Cafe on Burley Road. Not ideal for city centre but IMO better than the City Centre curry houses. Since The Queens became a s Tescos extra it's also become licenced.

Went to Fazenda on Saturday. Still can't get into my jeans.
