Caused a lot of confusion for visiting teams,as the singular support post was on the dead ball line. So obviously anybody crossing the try line and looking for the post as a reference would put the ball down over the dead ball line.
This happened on more than one occasion ,to the amusement of the home crowd.

Thought we were skint, a million smackers for a new pitch I would rather see the lodgers depart which would take some pressure of the pitch.
Also a million pounds could go into the south stand devolpment .

I remember the "sticks at the Greyhound Stadium". They caused loads of problems.

I used to be a ball boy (and also helped out selling programmes and doing the score board).
Always wore my Leeds shirt under my tracksuit, whilst being ball boy. The worst job was have to retrieve the ball from the track and then having to wipe the 'muck' of the ball. Greyhounds are not fed normal dog food, the 'muck' was more like a bright coloured weetabix that had been left in the milk too long.

Was told off most weeks for my boots being covered in it.

The club might be introducing a 'buy a rugby post' scheme shortly.

The club could be missing a trick here by not selling rolls of turf, I could have got one for Tads head

Just get a load of tarmacers in they would lay the cricket club carpark for much less than a million quid!
