| Burrow showed why he has been moved to hooker tonight. Some awful options. Smith was poor but I thought the main problem was that our pack got an absolute battering. JP and kylie were as poor as I can remember.
What concerned me was how it took (I think) 25 for us to give one of best strike players in Watkins the ball, and surprisingly he made a break straight away

| Not much I can disagree with in any of the above. I've been critical of Smith since his return and think tonight might just be the last nail in the coffin. He simply seems to have lost his pace and decisiveness.
Wouldn't be too critical of McShane. He hasn't played at this level for a while and maybe there's a little lack of confidence. He wasn't the only key player to show up poor tonight.
One in the eye for all the Kirke-bashers tonight. After that first 20 minute onslaught I thought he played a major role in helping to stop the rot (at least for the next 40 minutes or so)
Just have to hoped that we don't have a repeat of this performance when the season starts in September.

| The attitude was wrong from tackle one. The team was poor and the one thing close to a positive was Moore's effort and impact off the bench. Smith and McShane were poor but shouldn't be made scapegoats for a team who played with the wrong attitude - senior players inlcuded - and got a deserved thrashing. If they deserve to be dropped, who doesn't?

| Nice to see the annual drubbing at Saints has carried on at their new ground
No real positives really. Lack of aggression in defense, and attack. Missed too many tackles, fell off too many tackles and the defense in general was as poor as it was at the early stages of 2011.
All we can do is say fair play to Saints and get the tackling tecnique sorted for next week.
Individually, Smith is finished, pedestrian athlete, pedestrian attitude. Peacock and Kylie looked their age, and McShane was as bad as anyone in defense. When Kirke is one of your better forwards you know you've got work to do.

| Just never turned up unfortunately, its happens to all teams throughout the season and this week it was our turn, hopefully back on track next week. Coupled also with Saints hunger to turn things round for themselves and their new coaching set up obviously having a positive effect on their guys. Smith and McShane didn't play well tonight agreed and can't of helped their chances of future starts but then again nearly everyone was poor tonight.
Also if anyone seriously thinks it had anything to do with red hair showing that we weren't 'taking it seriously' then they should really be banned from ever watching rugby league ever again. It was a piece of charity work, the kind rugby league players do every week throughout the season, this one just came with a lasting visual effect.

| One of those nights Saints were very good we were atrocious - maybe complacent?
It did show a few things:
1. Lee Smith is struggling at this level
2. 2 years looks a long time regarding Peacock
3. Mc Shane needs to work on his tackling
4. Those questioning why Burrow isn't starting at 7 take note
5. Watkins needs the ball earlier and some tackling practise
6. Will Hardaker ever pass to Hall again

Most of those are knee jark reactions
Lee smith has hardly played. When he has, he's been average. But you'd hardly say he's struggling at this level, especially after that game when EVERYONE struggled.
Again with peacock, you say that on the back of this game. What about some of his other performances this season.
Regarding mcshane, the whole team needs to work on their tackling on the back of this game, not just him.
Regarding burrow, that's the first time he's played 7 this season. The team was battered.
Watkins and hardaker, okay, yeah you have a point.

| First of all to turn out with hair dyed is an absolute disgrace, I don't care if it!s for charity rugby league is a serious game. Looking back at former Leeds greats mick shoebottom, john Holmes etc there is no way they would have turned out looking like clowns.
As for the performance it was gutless,it's all right saying it was a one off blip but you need perform at your highest level week in week out.
Some players obviously did not want to be there, hence the sight of Wellens trundling through to score.
My only consolation was the sky commentators screeching on about no team could live with saints playing like this! . Any team would have beaten the rhinos tonight, saints will come down to earth next week at warrington.
I don't think it would be fair to single out any player for criticism from a bad bunch, but smith and McShane need to have a long hard look at themselves.

Rugby league is a serious game but at the end of the day it is just a game and I think trying to eradicate national and global poverty is a bit more of a serious issue. I'm not saying they should have done it but I won't critisise them too much either.

So average is competing at this level? virtually everyone on this thread has said the same he looks finished at this level
Peacock has been a shadow of the player he was before the injury - a situation that is only going to get worse as he approaches his 38th birthday
Burrow has played 7 for 10 years - Sinfield has been the playmaker all that time - don't make out this was an unknown role!!
