That's also what happened last season when IIRC Steve Ganson sent off Joel Tomkins V Hull and when Ben Thaler sent off Richard Mathers V Wakefield in 2008 during their Wigan days. It didn't prevent the disciplinary panel from banning them. The Lauaki one looked just as bad, possibly worse than either IMO.

Why two game max? Sounds a bit lenient if you're that upset with the incident.
Only seen it once but Lauaki didn't spear the player or drop him recklessly - after initially putting the player in a bad position (caused in large part by the action of the other defender pushing down) Lauaki appeared to take responsibility and ensure a reasonable landing.
Expect the disciplinary to not go overboard on this one.
