We have Indian a lot, so fancied something different. Ideally the restaurant would be in the centre of Leeds as we would be catching the train in. I am going to check review sites, but just wondered if anyone had any recomendations on here.

Love gouchos but doesn't really cover the veggie bit being a steak house. Jamie plovers restaurant is quite nice, least it was when we were there and it had a fair selection of veggie dishes, on park row just up from the train station

Kendell's Bistro is very good indeed. From a carnivorous perspective at least.

The midnight bell does some good gastropub food, and the Leeds Brewery beers too.

Thanks Red Rose...looks perfect. From seeing Jamie Oliver's visit there I assumed they didn't do veggie, but the menu looks lovely. Have emailed to see if we can book.

How about Bistro Blanc opp the Hilton Hotel or Antony's in the Corn Exchange?
I don't regard Jamie Oliver's place as inexpensive - good though it is.
Blackhouse Grill also maybe? Where Est Est Est was was was.
