Obviously, we now have to add 'Celebrating a bit too much' to that list.'"
I believe that "It was raining" was one particular moan?

Him and Meli were joint winners of the "Leon Pryce going missing in a final medal"

| Open offer to John Wilkin:
I will pick you up in my motor from your door-step, take a drive so you can get to know GF winners a bit better (something may rub off), have a chat with TMFMISL. Sit down and bash it out. Whatever state you are left in I will (whatever is in the best interest of yourself) drop you off back home or at the nearest hospital.
So you don't need to drive, pay for fuel, etc. A free trip..........

This must surely be a contender for best post-Grand Final loss whinge. Lets look at the nominees:
Mr Jon Wilkin, 2008, for "Leeds were whooping after they tackled us and there was a camera in the dressing room! Sniffle!" - news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/rugby_l ... 653071.stm
Mr Jon Wilkin, 2009, for "The game is too slow, and why did they water the pitch? Waah!" - news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/rugby_l ... 301130.stm
And of course, Mr Jon Wilkin, 2011, for "Ryan Bailey was dancing and singing, boohoo!"
2008 still wins it for me.

| Another Saint - Sean Long - leaves agendas out of it and calls it as it is:
RYAN BAILEY – Often controversial but he has been awesome this season. He puts in some massive shots and lifts Leeds when he comes on - 9/10
A refreshing change it seems.

I noticed Meli. He made his usual cock-up. He is the ultimate anti-big game player.

I don't have an agenda - I just say it as I see it
What you see from Bailey is what I used to see every week when my kids played junior rugby - it is childish and completely unnecessary.
I never see Peacock behaving in such juvenile manner - then he has a maturity and respect for the opposition sadly lacking in his team mate.

If you saw that kind of thing in junior rugby I hope you had a word with the coach of that team. At junior level it's pathetic, at SL it happens regularly from every team and is part of winding up the opposition. Sadly, in this case, I think Jon Wilkin is merely bitter at losing to Leeds in a final again. His previous 2 post-GF whinges lend weight to the argument that even if Bailey is immature during a game, Wilkin is just as immature immediately after it.

Like your previous post
'where there's fighting - Baileys hiding' (summarised my wording sounds better)
Yet that kind of goes against a certain red card he got this year. What was that for again?
Bailey is Mr Niggle in every assest of what he does, the price he pays? The target man. Does he ever moan about it? No.
He wears his heart on his sleeve and lets not detract from the fact that Wilkin is a moaning little girl at this time of year. Pathetic.

| Wilkin is a joke. I don't always agree with the things Bailey does - but, winding up the opposition is part of the role he plays for Leeds, how any Leeds fan can complain about his 'head parting' and cheering of opposition mistakes is beyond me.
And why would our own fans give him grief about not fighting - that would get him sent off.... He plays the wind up merchant excellently - and has also much improved his go forward. This, along with the ability to draw penalties, generally win the collision and get a decent speed play the ball, plus decent defence, has seen him look very good this year.
And for Wilkin to try and play the 'proffesionalism' martyr - complete hypocracy from the old vacuum beak.

Don't disagree regarding Wilkin - it still doesn't excuse Bailey's behaviour, as I said earlier the game is tough enough and I don't see the likes of Buderus, Peacock, Sinfield descending to this type of cheap stuff? One of the best things about Leeds over the past few weeks is the their respect for both the official and their opposition - Wigan apart.
At junior level this behaviour is understandable - these are young immature kids with hormones wizzing round their bodies. Rugby is an outlet for their natural aggression, plus they have a host a mothers on the sideline encouraging this type of behaviour. No coach would be able to stop it - if they subbed all the players who did it there would be no players left on the field.
