| Looks like Ambler might be back then.
Also when does Amor`s loan spell end?
If it is anytime now we might leave Ambler at Quins.

I've got my boots, I am in the greatest shape I've been in the last ten years (which I accept isn't saying much) and it's Leeds last chance to sign me up before I turn 40.
It makes a lot of sense.
One of the benefits of the move is that I would make Kirke look better. I would halve his hit up rate.

No they're not. Wakefield are still in business you know.

You're an athlete mate no doubt about it. Even Harry Kewell had gout and look at him.

You would struggle to make less impact - would you know Cross was playing? makes you wonder how he got a place every week in the super human NRL?

| Is it mere coincedence that the two players charged this week were done so after appearing on sky?

| Don't worry, the 'golden' signing will show his worth over the season - as a very average SL prop, which is what he was always going to be.

Apart from a couple of solid seasons appearance-wise, he didn't get a place every week in the NRL. Unless you count 95 appearances in 8 seasons (2003-2010) as getting a place every week in the NRL.

More prolific in NRL appearances than Kylie Leuluai however, who made 78 appearances (17 starts and 61 from the bench) in 8 seasons (1999-2006).
Both of these players represent the kind of average (ordinary) overseas signing which is strangling the life out of our game and our international prospects.

| Sadly true. Two of our last three overseas signings - Delaney and Cross - have been virtually pointless IMO. Hauraki may well have been worth a punt as he did well for Crusaders last year, but Delaney and Cross have performed about as well as expected. Delaney was a regular but virtually anonymous centre ('solid' in the dour sense of the word) and Cross was a virtually anonymous irregular player.
Cross in particular I don't understand. If we rate Ambler and Amor at all, his spot should have been given to those two to fight over. If we don't, then we should have gone for LMS.

| Leeds' Antipodean signings 2004 - 2011:
Marcus Bai, Ali Lauitiiti, Scott Donald, Mark O'Neill, Clinton Toopi, Kylie Leuluai, Brent Webb, Danny Buderus, Brett Delaney, Greg Eastwood, Ben Cross, Weller Hauraki.
Something of a mixed bag.

| 3 or 4 Decent ones. Ali's the best of the bunch by a long shot though. Even though he has been somewhat injury prone the last 2 years I still think we have had great value out of him and even at 75% he is better than the majority of 2nd rowers in the SL.
