Cheers for that. Must be a concern for the club that it's yet to be resolved.
I see that Isa (Cas not cash) has been granted his Visa.

Would've been much funnier, if...
a) You'd have posted it at the same time as everybody else and,
b) You'd have spelt "their" correctly.

Well I wasn't mocking, I was constructively criticising somebody for jumping on the "joke" wagon, several hours after it had left town, and several posts after the OP has suggested the jokes are getting old.
Besides which, many have been mocked for much less.

There's more ironic humour in this single post than in the entire Monaghan thread combined. I don't seem to be laughing though. It's one of those jokes you groan at.

| So effectively we have paid £59k for a player, who is currently not able to play for us as he doesn't have the requisite visa, to a company on the verge of Bankruptcy.
Gary Hetherington is clearly a blood relative of Mother Teresa...

Which company did we pay the money to, the old one or the new one?

| Very good point. I suspect it was the old one as once a club folds don't all the players become free agents due to breach of contract on the clubs behalf?
If we waited until the new club was formed to effectively buy the player, then not only did we avoid the opportunity to get him for free, we also deliberately opened the door to Huddersfield who I believe were also interested?

| The fee will have been paid to the Administrator of the old company, as it was an asset of the old company which was sold. The deal would have been done prior to any announcement of the directors appointing administrators, simply so that there are some funds in the kitty to pay the Administrators fees.
An insolvency practitoner would not have taken the appointment without knowing where his fees are coming from, so Leeds buying Hauraki will effectively have done crusaders a favour. Good old Gary!!

The one fact about insolvency is that the IP always gets paid, even if nobody else does.
And boy, do some of them get very well paid.

As a qualified IP, I couldn't possibly agree.
In all seriousness, it is expensive to administer the affairs of large companies and groups and nobody is going to do it for free! Some of the more complex cases go on for years and years.
We do work hard to save business and jobs too by the way
