| Quote Remarkable_Rhinos="Remarkable_Rhinos"Yeah fair point. I totally take that on board.
For me, if he were to make it onto the team sheet, it would have to be on the bench though. He wouldn't start over Peacock, Morley, Fielden (in prime), Sculthorpe, Farrell. IMO.
Again, he would NOW. But "Super League Ellis" wouldn't start over any of those. (IMO)'"
I think it highlights more that we have had real quality players in our comp, and sometimes that is not appreciated because of all the mythical @rse licking to the Aussie Comp.
One of the best players I have seen in the Super League era, and he only played for one season (I think) was David Fairleigh at Saints. I thought the guy was awsome, and on quality alone would always be one of my first choices for best teams. But again he only did one year.

| So the revised team
Radlinshki
Big lez
Jamie Lyon
Senior
Richards
Trent Barrett
Shaun long
Moz
Cunningham
Graham
Peacock
Andy farrel
Sculthorpe
McGuire
Pryce
Ellis
Fielden
Coach: Tony Smith
How's that?
I've taken on board what people have said but Im not sure about Richards(a few good seasons and one very good season) surly sl must have had a better winger than Richards? Carney? And it seems Fielden has garbage as much as he has been quality.

Like him or loathe him but I think Noble has to be the coach of the last decade in Super League. His record more than stacks up to any.

I don't want that team playing 5 drives and a kick!
His rugby league is shocking to watch. Since super league quality has spread out noble has faded away to the point where nobody wants him in sl. Where as ts has got better and turned another also ran into a top team.

I am not so sure what Noble achieved last year was fading. He took a bunch of nobodies with a near whole team from scratch to the play offs. At Wigan too, he took a near relegation fodder side and built it back up laying the foundations for what the new coach achieved this year. He certainly made some daft and baffling decisions, and me personally I don't like the guy, but his record can not be ignored.
What he did at Bradford was a big achievement.

5 drives and kick for an all star team? No thanks.
Since the comp has evened up noble has stopped winning trophies. It's easier to win lots of silver when you have the best players.

The first point accepted.
The scond point could quite easily be attributed to Tony Smith also. Only won with best players.
Remember Noble has been at a poorly run Wigan club and a team with no infrastructure at the Crusaders, over the last few years. Any coach would have struggled to improve on what he did do at those clubs.
It's completely accepted that as soon as he went Wigan won, and probably right to say they wouldn't have with him, but he still laid the foundations for that to happen, and completely changed around things at Wigan.
Far be it for me to defend Noble, because I dislike him, and I agree his rugby his boring. But I still think credit where credit is due for his achievements.
If Smith continues going forward with Wire like winning a GF with them, then it would only be right to start declaring him for coach of team of decade. And in anyway in four years time he would quite rightly have that title then.

Lose Pryce, move Graham to bench, Scully in SR and Sinfield at Loose.
You can't possibly have a "Team of the Past 10 years" and not include Sinfield.
4 Grand Finals
2 League Leaders Shields
2 World Club Challenges
Harry Sunderland Trophy
Since 2003 he's never been outside the top 4 Goal Kickers.
SL Dream Team in '05, '06, '08 & '09.
International Loose Forward of '09
I know Scully was a good but he can go at SR. Sinfield has to be in that squad.

Yep!! I always forget that because we lost. But true enough! Lance Todd too!
For me;
Radlinski (Nailed On)
Vainikolo (Nailed On)
Senior(Nailed On)
Lyon (Nailed On)
Richards (Debatable)
Half Backs are debatable from;
Long
McGuire
Harris
Paul
Briers
Barrett
Pryce
Morely (Nailed On)
Cunningham (Nailed On)
Peacock (Nailed On)
Farrell (Nailed On)
Sculthorpe (Nailed On)
Sinfield (Nailed On)
Bench-
Graham (Nailed On)
The other 3 bench spots can be debated at will with many suitable candidates.

In all fairness, you say Lyon nailed on. What did he do 2 years here?
You also say Vainikolo nailed on. Don't dissagree. But I would argue Hape had a very very big influence on Vainikolo, and probably could claim just as much credit to that "nailed on" spot as Lyon.
