Because there has to be a winner in each tie, if both players picked the same teams for each match, there has to be method of deciding a winner which would be the person whose differences between the actual scores and their predictions were the least. Therefore I could (but wouldn't) look at your predictions and decide to make mine 1 more and less than yours depending on how I thought the games would pan out.

Hence if the predictions were made by PM, that advantage would be nullified.
