| Donald was our winger who had genuine electrifying pace, Smith and Hall don't have that (though Hall is quick no doubt).
Maybe Broughton would have been one to keep......fair play to him though as he backed himself and is making a name for himself so well played to him.
Hopefully we can replace Donald with someone who has similar pace / ability.....

| Quote thebloodbath="thebloodbath"He will leave a mark.
Some of what he has produced for us, literally, leaves a chill down my spine.
- '07 Grand Final - poetry in motion. In and out left Wellens for dead. Pure speed.
- Hull FC at home special - Burgess put him away in his own 10 and he just ran and ran and ran. Evasion, speed, determination.
- Catalans playoffs last year. On the end of a raking pass from Sinfield, Donald bombs down the flank. But this time does the unexpected - produces one of the kicks of the year - a high chip inside royally collected by McGuire (could have been 5 other players) for my favourite try of the season.
Now my favourite:
- Warrington at home. On the left hand side picked the ball up at the half way line, South Stand side. Anyone who questioned his heart should see this try. Diagonal, mazey run, beating men left right and centre. Evasion and power the key.
So he has contributed and earned his keep. A bit of class on the flank. The last couple of years have been quieter compared to the high bar he produced. So the timing isn't a great shock.
He can hold his head up high. Hope we can send him out on a high.
All the best for Super League's Best Ever Ginger Winger.'"
I'll add his full length effort in Perpignan in 2008 to that list. Took the highball in front of his home sticks, beat the chasers and hit the gas to ultimately win a very tough game in the final minutes.

| Still plenty of choice in the backs when Watkins comes back to full fitness and we still have Ben Jones Bishop to come back from loan with a heap of SL experience.

| Quote BrisbaneRhino="BrisbaneRhino"Some great memories - his try in the 07 GF was the best by a Leeds winger in a final in my time watching Leeds.'"
Seconded - that is one of the finest memories I have as a Leeds fan.
He's scored some memorable tries in his time for Leeds. I'm glad he's made the decision to go out at the top at Leeds instead of offering his services to another SL team. Good luck to him and his family, he's been a great servant to the club.

| All the best for the future to Greg Eastwood, Willie Poching, Francis Cummins and now Scott Donald who has become the latest to join the exodus from the club.

| best memory for me was in his first league game, a huddersfield player [robinson i think had shot thru a gap and appeared odds on to score but donald arrived from the oppersite wing to nail him
i'd heard he was quick but that showed how quick as robinsons no slouch
leeds under used him in his first season tho with him not getting passes from the centre that he should have or getting terrible passes so making him look bad
best of luck for the future scott as you've been a pleasure to watch

I wonder if all those people who were slagging off Eastwood earlier, will be mentioning this shocking lack of loyalty so soon after signing an extended Contract?
'"
You are kidding right?
How you can question Scott Donalds loyalty and compare it to Eastwood is beyond me. Donald has give his all everytime for Leeds and deserves all the praise he can get. He has been a class winger and very rarely has he let anyone down. He played 92 games in a row FFS! Comparing him to a guy whos decided to leave after about 5 games is IMO poor.
Good luck Scotty. It has been a pleasure to watch you and I hope all goes well fo you in future life.
