I just think we are better organised with McGuire at 7. I have posted many times on different forums that he has all the atributes to make a top class 7. I actually think he'd walk into the England set up at SH. His kicking out of hand is now 1 of the best in the league ( yes he has his odd bad kick but the majority now find the ground and turn the defence), his passing and the way he reads the defence has improved so much over the last 2 years and he still has all the speed in the world.

As someone said though, we look disjointed and too "off the cuff" with all 3. With tge way the oppo Ds are this year we need the organisational skills of McGuire and Sinfield more than the broken play skills of Burrow.

Again i refer you to my initial reply i see yer point mate but i personally prefer all 3 but a very good point on the opposition D.

His short kicking game pretty much won us last seasons grand final!

Still the clueless idiots (most opposition fans) will probably claim tomkins is loads better.

I thought we looked better tonight before Burrow came on but would expect to see him back at 7 for the Hull game. I think BM maybe wanted an extra forward on against a team renowned for a strong pack.
In the past if Sinny plays at 6 i always think we look a better team with McGuire at 7 as opposed to Burrow. That said we haven't done too badly in the last few seasons with all 3 on the field together.

Even though we have been fairly successfull in general that is an impressive record, only 2 defeats and a draw.Did he partner Sinfield in all those games? If ever you get the time it would be interesting to compare that with a Burrow / Sinfield partnership

Not bad, including a GF win (Leeds' first in 32 years) and the first WCC victory in the club's history.

When McGuire plays 7 he has a a luxury not afforded to Burrow, a quality stand off



In all seriousness, was it lost on you that McGuire played his usual role as soon as Burrow came on? Burrow came on at 7.

I think starting with McGuire and Sinfield was good, on Thursday everything seemed a bit frantic whereas from 10-40mins today we were alot more controlled in our play.
