Buying someone who was the best player available in his position, but who couldn't stand the sight of blue & amber and who wanted to go back to his beloved Humberside within seconds of getting to Leeds.

It it is true that Westerman is coming, he's going to have to swallow a bitter pill to come play for Leeds or has his quest for honours in the game got the better of him ? In other words, stay at the club he loves and win nowt or have to stand having to play for the team he hates, but with the best chance in Yorkshire of winning stuff on a regular basis.

he's a wide running, right side, back rower.
He's very good at that, but as most sides attack to their left the RHS second row has to do a lot of defending, and despite (or because of) Westerman's high tackle counts, I'm not sure he's up to that if he isn't the featured attacker getting protection in defence.

Westerman was terrible last year. Haven't seen enough of him htis year to pass comment.

Let me tell you and put you straight here, that is a load of b0ll0[ick[/is made up by silly Cas fans, just like the Hull fans about their players.

No player in the game hates a club sufficiently to stop them playing for them. You only have to look at Andy Lynch for that, a Leeds fan who went to Cas, and then ended up at Bulls who as a fan diskliked very much.

Westerman would have signed the other year when it was rumoured, had Leeds made a proper move, but it was all just rumour.

Not that I believe Westerman is signing this time as the OP said, but lets put the crappy hate thing aside.

I can name you one and it came from the horses mouth this player told me he'd a fantastic offer from Leeds and if it had been from any other top club he'd have signed.

That's strange, Westerman seems to be doing 25-30 tackles a game now, certainly not a weak defender
