SL is on the decline for now on in with players like Carney, Bird and Croker been refused visa’s. People will stop watching the game over here for that alone. No longer are we a league where anyone can join - a working class league that is full of forgiveness and sorrow.

no, but the fact he has a court case looming over him would give some indication that the application would be rejected pending the result of said court case.

But the charge could be seen that his "character, conduct or assocations" would be such to suggest that his presence here is not conducive to the public good.

I'm not defending Bird or the Bulls but you can see why they and the RFL had reason to assume he would be treated differently having no actual convictions.
