| Quote G1="G1"Diskin is finally re-discovering his 2004 form and has been superb in the last two games having a hand or foot in the majority of our tries.

Haven't seen the last two games but have heard Diskin is returning to form. This is great news for Leeds if he can keep it up.
I think the recruitment priority has to be finding adequate back-up for Diskin. Ideally this would be an understudy coming through the ranks, or the signing of an impact hooker like Higham.
Not at all sure that either Tansey or Sinfield are up to it, and would prefer Gibson to fight for Senior's centre position when he gets fit.
Still, if Diskin's form deserts him again I would be more than happy to watch Danny Buderus play for Leeds whilst nurturing the next generation of hooking talent at the club.

The only thing you can rely on at Leeds is (a sizeable proportion) of their fans fickleness.

After a loss: The world's about to end.

Agree his attacking plays have been excellent in the last two games - however his defence seems to really been effected by the operation - his lateral movement seems to have deserted him.
Matt was one of the best if not the best defender in SL before the operation he is some way below that standard right now.
I agree it is perhaps better to wait and see if he can continue to perform at the level he has been recently or whether this has been a blip.
I still think we need another big prop in the Fozzard mould?

I'm willing to leave the props for next year and see what Bluey can get out of them, especially Bailey and Scruton. Any new signings could see at least one of them leaving and I reckon they've both got the potential to come back and haunt us.

I am still amazed at the constant twitching from Rhinos fans about the prop situation. For the love of my sweet Grandmothers spatula, we are still second in the table with the distinct possibility of finishing top and have a team running pretty hot at the moment. Gone are the days of Barrie Macs, Terry O'Connors, Neil Cowie and Kelvin Skerretts; instead we see a modern prop/second row in the Willie Mason/Jamie Peacock style.
I have no issue whatsoever with any of our current props or their form and nor should anybody else. This continual drum beating for a big bad prop is at best ,dull at worst fecking stupid.

| Well I bet were going over the salary cap now...But legally as I'm sure the club will have a bank account called something like Hetheringtons Heating LTD. to pay the players some more money - but not via the club - just like many other SL clubs are doing. I mean come on we wont be able to keep all those internationals in the squad (including Brent Webb) and still be under the salary cap. But then again, maybe we are as a lot of those lads are loyal Rhinos.

Not quite sure i grasp the essence of your point?
GH has made it very clear on numerous occassions his thoughts on those caught flouting the salary cap. To then be caught out would be a tad foolish even by his Castleford "educated" standards.
I think most people would actually be surprised if they knew the wage structure within many clubs. A lot of players get paid nothing like the amount you would expect.
Any case, GH is as tight as a nats crack so the chances of him ever overspending Viv Nicholson style are about erm, zero!

well me actually. he has looked much better but that was against the bottom 2 teams in the league.
still think he is a shadow of his former self. he would make a good squad member if he can be consistant with this kind of form to play with a top class hooker.
still think leeds would be better with a second hooker interchange if we can get the right man for the job.
in a dream world issac luke would come from our new aussie bezzy mates for a few years
pigs might fly too.
