Because at a match is of course where you get the best view of every incident.

He got a number of calls wrong for both sides, some of them crucial in terms of points. He wasn't the reason Leeds lost, not by a long shot, If you genuinely think he was, then you haven't a clue.

A knock on that wasn't and a forward pass for the decisive try, tells me he did cost the match. And that is without pointing out the many many things he did not pull throughout the game that he should.

Watching on the telly does not show what is happening around the pitch, it shows only where the ball is.

You mean the Hardaker knock on from the high kick which went back?? Then if you watch the play for 2 more seconds he knocks on when the ball is on the floor......

I don't think McDermott was complaining about any individual incidents regarding the ref, just the general way he officiated the match. It was his usual style were players look like they're treading on eggshells around him especially regarding the tackle/PTB speed.

The only incident I really have an issue with is the Ablett/McShane tussle. Yes daft from Ablett but then again it's just handbags, just tell them to put their handbags away and play on, poor decision IMO to give a penalty to Cas otherwise you could have several a game for pushing at the PTB.

If you mean me I was at the game, didnt think it was a knock on at first but watched the big screen and he knocked on trying to collect the ball second time around.

Leeds look a shambles, and that starts at the top. I've heard about a lack of support for son of BMDs ideas the year but frankly we look poorly coached. We either have a very poor game plan, or we are incapable of playing to it, either way the buck stops with the coach. In fact the biggest issues are with a passive and pedestrian front row who seem incapable of either tough yards or quick ptbs, meaning poor quality halves have no time to organise play even if they could. Leeds are currently where their form dictates they belong, and without significant change in brains and application from both players and coaches, this isn't about to change. This Leeds team and its coaching staff, have run its course. Time for some hard decisions.

Didn't the Cas player gather that knock on by Hardaker anyway? So they would've had the ball either way?

Sorry pal haha. Glad you agree. The ref was poor for both sides as I stated but your lack of attack in the last 20 meters cost you. Not the ref.

Thought he might have got the call wrong on the Ablett/McShane tussel but Ablett was dumb in that situation also.

Schofield just picked out Huddersfield, Hull and Castleford as his early season disappointments, presume Backchat was recorded before tonight's latest Shambles.
