To all those people who critisized this team...tonight's for you.

Only Wigan, it seems. Even Warrinton can't be bothered with it this season! Maybe it should be renamed so we can all compete for the Pie shield next season. No? Alright, hub cap it is then.

| If the Sky cam was such a wonderful thing, why have I never seen it used at a Sky covered football match (to my knowledge)

| Great game.
I think Mcguire's try should have been given if the rules were approached with common sense. But you never know, Wigan may have come back and had another go - there were still 10 or so minutes left.
The premier fixture in Super League at the moment - Wigan and Leeds are the best in SL on their day and so evenly matched.

| Big effort from Leeds tonight and a good come back after a drop in form and losing key players to injuries. In my book we lost it rather than Wigan won it. Sinfield with his usually goal kicking would have won it. His first half last second gift try was typical of his off form timing at the moment but I can forgive that as he scored an important try himself. Whereas Bailey's contribution to the Wigan scoreline I find difficult to excuse.
Wigan seemed to get most of the 50/50 calls and I thought we looked well prepared and handled their much lauded attack very well. The two youngsters stood up well and must be allowed the odd mistake. JJB and Kylie were immense and I thought Clarkson did a lot of grafting. Vickery did all that was asked of him and Burrow made some good runs and McGuire showed that despite a loss of pace he still has the class.
Considering we were without our 2 best metre making forwards and top tacklers we did ok against their pack. In the end it was mistakes that cost us the game but I can live with that as we can put that right. And well done to Brian Mac for his preparation and motivation.

For some finishing top will always count and in some ways I have got to agree with them

| Leeds and Wigan are the two best matched sides in the league. Alot of bad blood, so much so its like a derby. Both had key personnel missing today but fought out an epic battle. The thing about Leeds and Wigan is you never who will win. Form goes out of the window. It has become THE fixture in super league enhanced by the fact that blth clubs lead the way in the production of academy produced talents.

Exactly.
Two very evenly matched sides and either could of won that game today.
Some really fantastic try's today from both teams.

| Very happy with the way the lads stood up tonight (particularly without JP, Delaney & Ablett), and with a bit of luck could have taken the points. Harsh call that VR decision, but having said that Wigan probably were just the better side.
The team have yet again made some (those who were predicting a hammering) on this site look very foolish.
Game of the weekend by an absolute mile...Mouthwatering prospect if we meet them down the line with both sides at full strength, and with something REALLY on the line...

How?
Wigan won by four points - who also missed two goals just the same as Sinfield did.

I must be very out of date, but I want my team to win every game they play, especially if I've taken the trouble to attend. If they can't do that I want them to win more games than our main rivals.

68506_1348769232.jpg "He's the best coach I've had... His mix of man-management and his game plan is second to none. Since Brian Mac has been in charge, we've been in every final so far. I love playing for him. I can't praise him enough, I've so much respect for him and I hope he's here for a very long time." Kevin Sinfield 29/9/12:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_68506.jpg |

We went toe to toe with Wigan for the entire match, and could so easily have won - I thought the call on the no-try was quite harsh, but then again I guess I'm ever so slightly biased
Worth another look that post

| Quote: FlexWheeler "The letter of the law it was correct. But it had no effect on the try being scored, take our player out of the line, and exactly the same thing would have happened.
They really need to tweak the ruling from what it is currently, to prevent situations like this.'"
On the one hand I agree, it almost certainly didn't affect the play, but on the other hand if we start allowing all sorts of interpretations of the rule we'll end up with even more contentious calls. And let's face it, it isn't the first time we've seen a try chalked off for an otherwise innocuous bit of crossing, I remember it happening to us. Best thing is for the law to be implemented to the letter and for players to avoid crossing so that they don't come a cropper.
