It is this systemic blind indifference to the obvious that has lead me to believe that a BOYCOTT of that particular stadium is the only course of action that will have some effect.
The only conclusion I can come to from your post and others of a similar apologistic nature on here is that we must wait until someone is seriously injured or we see another "goal post" episode beofre any action is taken.

Yep, I don't like have "You are the scum of Rugby League" sung at grounds either and the other anti-Hull chants. Didn't stop a large section of the Leeds fans singing it on Saturday though.
I don't however think Leeds have a problem to deal with.
You can't censor people, other than to stop racism and the like. You will also get close to the bone comments, sungs etc at sports grounds and unfortunetly its a parents judgement if they mind their child been exposed to that.

Hardly You see its that the sort of ignorance that makes this an important issue because some day if this isnt adressed we face a problem that will damage the game as a whole perhaps permanently .
I am no hard man but I played the game for a while and have coached at junior and amateur level... I love the game for me its simply the best
Oh and I also came within a hairs breadth of being killed whilst watching at a game ( not involving HULL I hasten to add) and the culprits were apprehended charged and convicted due to the actions of the clubs and the stadium involved and some fellow supporters ( all unknown to me).
I just happen to think that the KC stadium and the Hull club prefer to sweep these matters under the carpet.

Those who are suggesting the club should take a pro-active approach to any problem causers that we do have, I entirely agree with and fully support. I would even go so far as to agree with comments about moving "chav corner" away from away fans, but again, I've not heard a single practical solution to the problem yet. '"
So in your opinion, is there a problem or not? You start your post saying there isn't, (which there is btw), then go on to discuss posibilities for solving the 'serious problem.'

Amen.
I don't think people realise how far the sport, and clubs like Hull FC have come since the 80's. While its not time to stop been pro-active, it does need to be put into perspective.

Chav corner is largely a nusiance. No, we don't have a serious problem.
I do agree though, that for the "enjoyment" of the away fans, moving the "chav corner" would be nice. But largely, the problems caused there are by kids chanting offensive songs at the away supporters to the point of been more intrested on that than the game, there not particarly known for voilence. And as I say, before we start backing Hull FC into the "bad" corner and Leeds into the "good" lets not forget the chants of "You're the scum of Rugby League" and the missle thrown at a Hull FC player.

I take it your a new fan? I don't mean any disrespect by that, but Hull FC did use to have what I would call "serious" problems, especially in the 80's and early 90's and too a point up until the goal posts incident at our game.
But, apart from the odd incident we've seen nothing like that in recent years. We just have the same problems with drunk idiots as the rest of the clubs, and again thats proven by the incidents involving the Leeds fans last Saturday. Go into a town on a Saturday night anywhere in the country, its not just our problem.
Hull introduced all sorts of incitives including away supporter liason officers etc, and you have to say are largely very family friendly.

| Well, from a personal point of view, I have only been supporting Leeds for 4 years (I'm still somewhat of a newbie) and I really dislike Hull FC matches, either away or at home. The first FC match I went to, my other half and I were witness to a lot of abuse from opposition fans (these weren't chavs either, they were at least 50, and both men and women) and it made for quite an unpleasant match.
You definately notice the amount of police at Hull FC matches at home. It's far more than any other team. My cousins and sister quite often come to the rugby with us, but I won't take them when it's Hull. I don't like the atmosphere.
We were at Hull for the challenge cup (my first visit to the KC) and from what I could gather there were issues from both sides. From what I could see more Hull fans got involved than Leeds fans though. Idiots like that need booting out of matches. I don't want them in rugby league. Any of those bottles could have hit young children and there's just no need. Both Leeds and Hull FC have a responsibility to stop this behaviour at BOTH home and away matches. The stewards at Hull were far from brilliant but I'm not convinced that the one's at Leeds would have been any better. It's given both clubs a bad press, being all over the papers. We don't need that sort of reputation. Let's hope the RFL steps up and sorts it out.

Well, I have to say I'm sorry you feel that way about coming to Hull FC games, I really am.
There are pubs around the KC stadium which are full of fans, from both clubs before the games and there is next too no trouble. Hull FC fans, imo are generally a good bunch with a few bad apples here and there.
I would have to say I do wonder if you were born in Hull and an FC fan (try not to feel ill ) that tavelled to Headingley on a Friday night if you might feel that same about that ground - that is an intense atmosphere (as is quite common with terraced grounds), and you do get the odd idiot there (I know I have been witness to more than one), and lets be honest, the South Stand lot know how to put a inflamatory song together!
But, you feel what you feel. I just hope that you keep coming, and over time you'll have positive experiences that change your mind.

I am sorry, but IMO this is wrong. The first thing that I want to say is that I know it is a very small minority of Hull fans who cause the problems, BUT
the year after the semi, when Hull were advertising the liaison officers etc, I went to the Boulevard, (the last time I went). I believe it was a CC match, (Karl Pratt made a last minute tackle to take Chris Smith into touch to save the match for us?)
Anyway, on arriving we were greeted by the liaison officers, and walked into one of the bars, where a couple of lovely Hull fans gave up their seats for us to allow us to sit down, and made us feel really welcome.
We went to stand and watch the match, surrounded by Leeds fans and a 'few' Hull fans.
At the end of the match on leaving the ground, our 'group' and by this I mean my mum, dad, younger brother and myself, were spat at and verbally abused. Not by 'kids' or 'chavs', but by middle aged/older men in flat caps, simply because of the colours we were wearing.
I am also going to say something that is not very popular now. I went to the semi at Huddersfield with a younger female friend. We were both terrified. We had abuse from the fans and we had large heavy missiles thrown at us.
It will take me a long time to forget that, and while I appreciate that in some respects Hull have tackled the problem, IMO the behaviour in Chav corner is not that different from what has happened previously.
I have since been to Hull and had rocks thrown at the coach, ( a park and ride one btw, that was full of Leeds supporters), and had verbal abuse from cars that have passed as we have walked back to our car, and then the incidents on Saturday.
I will not be returning to Hull in a hurry.
The fact that it is not just our club that has problems also suggests a major problem.

I will certainly come to Hull again, as I feel the problems were on both sides. The thing that sways my judgement is the amount of police that are there when we do play you. As I said, it is significantly more than any other match. I am sure you are not all the same. In fact, before we went into the stadium, some Hull fans wished us luck and said they hoped the best team won. I think certain fans are giving you all a bad name.
And as for the southstand, yes, they certainly have some interesting songs. We sit in the north stand, but still have to cover my 10 year old cousin's ears sometimes!

Hardly I have been a supporter since 1964
my concern isnt the level of violence or intimidation has you say I dont live in a cotton wool world
rather its the current inaction of the club. They must be aware of the problems and yet appear to do nothing IIRC the last initiative was support based rather then club lead.
