| Quote tvoc="tvoc"The unpredictability of the result in the final quarter is what matters most.
I'd agree though that in most games where one team (or both) have crossed more than half a dozen times it's been lacking somewhat in the required intensity even if the scores are close.
One of my most favourite games of the SL Era was also V St Helens - the 2003 Challenge Cup semi-final - and that ended 33 - 26 and contained nine tries. Re-watched that game many more times than the two try 10 - 8 defeat in 2007.'"
True. Low scoring, high scoring, a good game is a good game. The ones you really remember tend to be the clifhangers - like the famous "Kevin Squire" Odsal CC replay, or the game you mention against Saints, or the Wigan playoff game 2012. But sometimes you can sit back and enjoy a team really playing well and racking up a few points. If it's skillful play the opposition can't answer then it's great to watch. Rubbish tackling, forwards surrendering the physical battle and lots of errors are what you don't want to see.

| I defy you to find a single Leeds fan who went home after the 70-0 wins over Wigan and Saints and said "Pfft, that was rubbish to watch."

There won't have being one. I bet nobody said, "wished we had only won by 2".
Which is what I said pages ago. Every fan with half a brain of a club, want's it's team to triumph emphatically against it's major rivals.
That is sport throughout the globe, not just limited to League.

Was that more to do with being expected or not expected perhaps?

| Everyone is different. When I started watching it meant so much more to me to see Leeds win, regardless.
These days I want to see a good game of rugby. I'd like Leeds to win, of course, but I'll take a good game with a narrow loss over the recent trouncing of Wakey (unless it's a cup game). That's just my personal preference. It's not a right or wrong issue.
Leaving aside issues of quality Easter Monday was a refreshing change as at least it was a competitive fixture for an hour, unlike the last three games.

| It can be a quality enjoyable game irrespective of score imo.
When you get 2 quality teams playing sudden death like tvoc pointed the 03 CC semi plenty of points scored but imo a brilliant game.
Also although I was freezing and facing a gale force wind the 1st game v Strom at ER again a cracking match where defences dominated but again a brilliant game of RL imo.

| the 70-0 demolition of Saints was a scintillating dispay of attacking rugby that blew away a very decent side (albeit having a few issues at that stage). It was thrilling, and it was also a novelty. A packed house on a warm evening barely stopped singing all night. It was brilliant. Probably the most complete, intense, ruthless and devastating display I've seen from a Leeds team.
Comfortably disposing of a very, very ordinary Bradford team without getting out of 3rd gear is not quite the same.
For me it's about intensity and a sense of occasion rather than scorelines.
