No I didn't see Greg Bird last night (except on the TV in Arc). I just thought he was class last night, and IMO he is the best player in Superleague.

I agree,greenshields gets many plaudits and whilst they are well deserved i don't think mogg and bird have had the recognition they deserve this year.

We probably agree on a fair bit. I just never admit it.

1) Silverwood was poor last night, allowing Catalans a fast play-the-ball and yet allowing them to hold down and spoil in defence. He pulled neither side for offside once all night. The game was simmering towards the end due to his lack of firm action at crucial times. He certainly ruled himself out of the game next week on that performance.

The touch judge on the SS side during the second half was also at fault for a couple of the garbage decisions.

2) Peacock was immense

3) Some Leeds players had poor games last night and at least we still won, as well as getting a bad one out of the way before the final.

4) The scores just before and after half time were what killed the game, as Leeds essentially sat back for the next 20 minutes after the try at the start of the second half. Players seemed to be holding off, I presume not to get injured for the following week. Had they played at the same intensity all the way through, there was less chance of injury and there would have been no need for panic football at the end.

5) We must watch out for planned moves from the scrum and our defence looked very weak twice.

6) Thankfully, it seems we have come throught the game with no major injury worries, so we should be back at full strength next week ....

Agreed – we looked vulnerable on a couple of occasions from the scrum and easily beaten.
