| Also I thought prior flew under the radar but was solid all throughout the game, a real engine. Oledzki seems to just keep getting better and better too

| I don't think Walker gets back in. He can't be relied upon to stay fit. It's foot injury after foot injury.

| Brilliant performance reminiscent of GF wins in previous years.
The only decision is Cuthbertson or Holroyd. Walker cannot oust Myler the way he`s been playing.
Agree about Prior going under the radar and Hurrell playing in his preferred RC role along with Gale and Oledszki.
But for me the unsung hero has to be Donaldson again in particular his workrate.
Also thought Sutcliffe and Handley played well.
Johnstone, Tanganoa and Watts next year and we are right back where we belong

| I love JJB, he's such an enthusiast and a great ambassador.
Personally, I would go with Holroyd again over Cuthbo, but I suspect injuries notwithstanding, Cuthbo comes back in. I've seen enough of Holroyd in the academy to think he can handle open age, and people will be surprised at his game beyond just carting it up. He has an offload on him and he's also aggressive.
It's important to keep that momentum going forward if we want the halves to do their jobs, and Holroyd does that better than Cuthbo for me. Having said that, Cuthbo can come up with big plays and it depends on how we plan to attack Salford.
Agree re. Donaldson, I love how he plays and he's brilliant and cleaning up down the middle. Few mistakes. High quality player actually.
Lui does a lot of good stuff. He's a strong thing and puts a shot in in defence, and he has the bag of tricks too. What worries me is his fitness, his knees look shot.
If you'd contributed to that excellent performance to get past Wigan you'd be pretty p-d off to get dropped now for the final.
Controversially again: I felt we lost shape and direction when Leeming went off late game. Might be coincidence but we just seemed to drift and clock off a bit after then.

They were probably pretty tired but that stage in those conditions. Leeming probably ran over 150 metres too so deserved a rest. Thought Dwyer was good when he came on...

Saints are really not that good! We'd have beaten Saints with yesterday's performance too. They were uch better with Thompson, and Percivak out for season now, makes massive difference to them.

| Very strong display from the Leeds pack and huge enthusiasm all around. That game deserved a massive crowd. A strange, but not too shabby a season for Leeds. A lot to be positive about.
I haven't seen Wigan play in a while. It's nice to have some things that are reliable and consistent in an ever more uncertain world. Sean O’Loughlin is still going to smack you in the face in every tackle. Dentists in the North must be dreading the day he retires, business may never recover.
Onward to Wembley (although they could technically play the game down a local park).

Leeming was very good. He made the Wigan markers look bolted to the pitch. You can't run like he did without the other forwards winning collisions but he really took full advantage of it. The wet helped I think, difficult for markers to get good footing and turn.

Saints are different gravy to the rest of Super League. Sure they can be beaten but they on their day beat everyone else comfortably.

That's why I think we're a much better shout for the Cup than the league - Saints are the one side in the league we can't touch if they're in form.
Having said that, injuries will still have a big influence on this season. Sounds crazy but if we can manage our squad well and have some luck, we might not be far off the league.
As bad as we have been, it's often only 10%ers that make all the difference. Some development of young players (especially Mik, who's been outstanding all year), some astute signings and the fact most of the rest of the league isn't crash hot at all - means we are contenders much quicker than expected.
Saints are a better side than us at present without doubt.
Not taking Salford for granted either, they will have an almighty dig at us. We don't have the same intimidation factor of years gone by and they will fancy their chances.

| Unfortunately for Leeds the structure of the competition has worked against them - easy win against Wakey cancelled - midweek games before key cup games and Catalans having a run of home games might be a bridge too far to enable Leeds to make the top 4 which would be a real shame because they would have a great shout
