| he deserves a ban and I won't defend it. however more and more players are backing into the collision which does make crusher tackles happen more and more, lots accidentally ( not that this one was an accident)

Well that's a great attitude towards player welfare, tell that to Gildart who couldn't return for the second half whereas Ferres was free to come on for the last 30.
You can't allow tackles like that to go on, Clubb caught one against Hull last year and it was close to ending his career.

Yes and Cuthbertson was lucky to avoid serious injury last year in the same fixture from a sh*thouse tackle from Tautai.

| I thought it was a really good game. I think Wigan can be pleased with how some of their kids played, i think we played well.
I thought going with 3 props and the pack we did worked well, plenty of space for Burrow in that last 20mins, Sutcliffe was the bounce of the ball away from a try 3 times, Moon moving out and Ablett moving in got us that final try. I dont think Wigan offered all that much going forward in the 2nd half, only score came through a Briscoe mistake in attack.
Thought the pack did well, Parcell looked good around the ruck, Burrow kept us on the front foot when he came on, Mcguire wasnt great in the first half but was in the 2nd, Sutcliffe was dangerous (if not quite there) when he came on, Watkins terrified them every time he got the ball, I think Golding is quietly going about a brilliant season.
After the Cas result i thought it was time for McDermott to go, i thought we would struggle for a little while yet but 4 wins on the trot, relatively comfortable for the most part, has left us going top with about a third of the first part of the season gone. We are in a really good position. Win 4 of the next 15 games and we will probably be in the 8, 14 of the next 22 and we are in the 4.

And I'm sure your reaction to that was not sh*t happens.
I know McDermott's definitely wasn't - in fact I recall he came out after the game trying to get T a ban.
Deserved win like I said, but Ferres might as well get a holiday booked cause he shouldn't be playing for a number of weeks.

Did you think? We should've won that by a couple more scores, and we made too many errors, but the pack were on top and dominated the ruck for a lot of the game.

I think it looked far worse in slo-mo than it was but Ferres has a duty of care should miss a couple of weeks.

| Pack wasnt the issue for leeds tonight it was individual errors and sloppy discipline in parts. Remarkable turnaround since cas though.

I dont think he has one in for a crusher, and slams down because Gildart pushing up, but I agree it is very poor technique and a yellow was fair
He will get a couple of games unless he can prove that they both went down together or something (thats not what I think happened btw)

I would have to agree here. I thought we were better than the winning margin.
Thought we had blown up though at 20-18, and Burrow on the pitch. His passing was absolutely woeful, and with the lighter man thought it would be too much.
Thought Ablett, Moon, and Watkins were outstanding. McGuire had an awful first half, but thought much better second half. Only Briscoe could I criticise after that game.

| We could've won by more......but how many teams can say that when playing Wigsn whether they've won or lost?
You don't cruise past Wigan regardless of lineups and idiotic to be critical of a team for not beating them by more......are Hull cr@p because they almost blew a 22-0 lead???

I would still swap in a prop for one of the backrowers next week (Delaney based on tonights performance), especially as we are playing probably the two biggest packs in the league in the next two weeks
That double change to bring Sutty and Burrow on could really open up defences, we just have to hope our forwards can hold on for the first 50 with only 2 subs used
Great to see Watkins when he is up for it, lets hope he keeps it up in the coming weeks
Golding great in defence, but I would still like him to chime into the attack as a link a lot more
Briscoe is way out of form, would possibly swap him out for the next game. If we are going to call Cas a bit of a blip then you cant really blame Handley for having a bad game
