| What a complete waste of time getting a new coach for 11 or 12 games. Sounds to me like a Hetherington plan to me.

| Crazy, what is the point for a few months.
Even if they do well a new coach for 2025 will have different ideas.
If this is Blease's idea does not give much hope if best he can come up with after several weeks searching is this.

| Odd decision and tough on the players having to adjust to 3 different coaching styles within 9 months.

| I don't understand the annoyance. We may already have a long term appointment lined up, but they don't want to join mid-season. Arthur in the short-term is as good as is currently available, and improves our chances of still having a decent 2024 season

| My guess is that he takes the heat off Blease and GH. Shows they are working on it and recognise that this is the kind of appointment fans want.
A second benefit will be if the team starts playing better with a different coach that will show any interested Coach that we aren't as bad as we have looked the last few years

| Seend sensible decision to me, suits both parties and if Arthur likes it he may want to stay on.
But Now seems likely Rowley for 2025 onwards.
At present anything us better than the firmer coach and Chev in charge:

| Take Brad Arthur over Chev Walker for the rest of the season personally. Not sure what doesn’t make sense.

| Not surprised, I did wonder if they might make Arthur interim. Blease mentioned this in the initial presser.
My guess is that Arthur might be too rich for Leeds, especially if he has options going into 2025 (setting up the new Perth franchise). He may at least want to keep his options open.
I reckon if he comes in and storms it, discussions will be had to retain him on a longer-term contract. It's a big change for him to come to SL after over a decade in charge of the same NRL club.
Meanwhile it allows us to look at the likes of Rowley if needed as a longer-term head.
I'm not worried about consistency, that is what Blease is here to maintain so that the coaches can focus on coaching. It's not like BA is going to bring loads of new structures in is it?
This does look a lot like us planning on bringing Rowley in but the timing isn't quite right. BA gives us a tilt at still making something happen this season, and allows us to look at him as a longer-term appointment if both parties are happy.

| Have you all checked what Rowley WANTS to do?
His plan is DOR at Salford and his #2 to coach.
He is nigh on 50 and he`s looking longer term.
Bleasey admits the trek to Leeds every day is awful on the M62. 1+ hours each way.
Arthur wants the Perth job hence the short term stance,

Maybe, maybe not. 50 isn't exactly ancient though, and if Rowley does fancy being head coach at a club with huge resources this is probably the optimum moment. He's not exactly ruled himself out, has he? He could have done this very easily on more than one occasion over the last few weeks, but instead he's chosen his words very carefully. Good luck to him,and you Salford fans if he does stay. I'm sure tying his future up long term at your club must appeal to him. From a Leeds perspective my observation is that next years coach (Rowley or not) is currently tied to a coaching role and wants to honour those commitments. I would imagine that rules out Demetriou. Can't believe people are grumbling about Arthur in the short term. The players and coaching staff will learn a lot and he'll also be in position to make some candid recommendations to GH and Blease without fearing for his future.
