A couple of weeks ago Frosties reported the "deal" had changed to some very odd plan of him being paid and on loan from Leeds but playing for Leigh until 2017 but kept secret until May 2015.

So I say it was never a "deal" in the first place as reported and secondly it is not secret so excuse the large pinch of salt I need to swallow this story. Although it may well be true because so couldn't make it up really!

I believe the second story could be true about agreeing to let Leigh have him one more season.

I very much doubt the first story, especially that it was changed late on by the club. Good chance that Sutcliffe will miss the start of 2016, probably won't be firing on all cylinders straight away. Aiton's departure has been confirmed since then and Leigh's SL chances are hanging by a thread....yet we tore up the original deal that would've seen him here and let Leigh have him on loan with us coughing it up. Would make absolutely no sense for us to agree to that u-turn.

I think Frosties is right on both accounts, I just don't think he has explained it right. I think what he meant the first time, relied on whether Leigh will release him, which is probably what is most important. I am assuming they said they would release him if they do not come up, as the player wanted, and he has done his own dealing with Leeds. Since then it has simply changed to they will still release him, but would like him back on loan.

For Leeds it will be a case of they either buy him out now and have him next year, or work within the fact that Leigh will release him agreement with the player.

I did discuss it properly, I explained why I don't think Leeds would leave it "hanging in the air" until Leigh's fate was sealed due to the unknown to the Salary Cap for 2016 and it wouldn't leave time to go for another option.

When I discussed it properly the only response was "but, but , but it's true".

As someone who likes to post rumours he's heard then you should heed your own advice and stop these hissy fits you have when people don't bow down and automatically believe every word you or Frosties says will come true.

You've been posting on here for five years, How many times have my sources been wrong in that time? Twice. Once when Gareth Ellis agreed a deal with Leeds and then again with Burrow to Castleford, which i still believe was a done deal until Leeds found out Aiton wanted out. I'm not the only person that has been posting the rumour regarding Brierley. Look on the saints board and you'll see Magic Superbeetle and St Pete, both very reliable posters have posted it.

I do think Brierley will end up at Leeds at some point, that I've never doubted. I do question the 'way' it's going to happen, the first scenario about Leigh's promotion/non promotion which I doubted turned out to be incorrect just like I thought.

Hell I go for wins I admit (I'm the only one who is honest enough to admit it at least it seems).....but at least it's when I'm actually having a debate with someone about a topic. Sal just likes to pop into debates I'm having with others to try and "win" one.....as shown here when I'm having a debate with Frosties and Sal's sole contribution is to try and come in and do a point scoring post against me and Gotcha....a common theme I'm finding. (His persistence on diverting the Child thread back onto Gotcha/Hardaker a prime example because of his views on Hardaker being ripped apart earlier in the year which he's clearly still got a bee in his bonnet about)

Clearly Leeds require a hooker with Aiton moving on and the coach having seen enough of Ward after 20 minutes at Hull [not really a proper run]. The best three hookers in super league are Roby Mciloram and Clark and all three would be great however if they are not available we should look at Boudeska who reminds me of Aiton both in attack and defence and could develop into a star

It still seems strange that Aiton's leaving. He's exactly what we've needed the past few years - surely there could have been a deal that all parties were happy with?!
